I had a terrible experience in this hotel. The rooms were dirty, the shower was full of hair and other guests had the same experience. The hotel is not in Venice but in Veneto, near by, across the channel. We were isolated in Dante's hell. The only thing good was breakfast. The organization of this trip was in charge of... more

When we arrived at Hotel Sirio we didn't find it a 4 star hotel. We were expecting a little more. But it was not a bad experience... but it wasn't excellent either... more

After reading other reviews of this hotel, I was a bit worried about my visit. Nothing to worry about. Although the hotel is not central, it is on a bus route that takes you directly to Venice (#2). It is also very easy to get to from the Mestre Train station. Simply cross the street in front of the station,... more

Why our tour company booked this hotel, goodness only knows. The hotel was dirty, the corridors narrow, the lifts small and slow and the food was barely passable. If you have an alternative to this hotel, use it. more

I couldn't believe I'd arrived at the hotel when the tour bus ( Iberojet ) stopped in front. The exterior & interior of the hotel are AWFUL ! Worse, road work's being done in front of the hotel, making its appearance even worse. The place was so seedy looking, that I propped a chair under my room's door lock (... more

The hotel is acutely run down. It is depressing to be in the rooms and corridors. Not even room doors work. We were locked out whilst another couple were locked in. TV and room safe not working. No bath plug. Main course at dinner was tiny. more

Stayed overnight as part of a Cosmos/Archers tour. After reading previous reviews I was quite worried as to what I would find however I found it perfectly adequate for what it is. Let's face it, you would not go to the Sirio for a fortnight but if you need to use it for a day or two then it is... more

Hotel was part of a Cosmos tour so we had no choice. The dinner was one of the worst I have ever tried to eat. The only redeeming food was the breakfast which was good, I suggest avoiding the dinner and have the breakfast if you have to eat at this hotel. One of the senior waitresses was rude to... more

We stayed at the Sirio for one night at the beginning of a tour of Italy. Our room was small and very tired in appearance. The pavement outside looked cleaner than the carpet. The food served at dinner was poor and we really felt that our group was a lot of bother to the restaurant. Not all the rooms were... more

Forced by tour operator to use this hotel which is basically a holding hotel for tour groups on landing in Venice. It really is the pits! Food awful, rooms dark and dingy, no porters, staff not that helpful. Mini bar in room does not work - for show only! Please avoid this hotel if you can. more
