This is a big soulless hotel on the periphery of the central area of Marsala, Sicily. Its rates are cheap and as we were driving needed easy parking. We were only staying for one night as a quick stop off on the way to the beautiful Erice so really only wanted a comfortable bed and hot shower. This hotel had... More

our stay at the President was part of a tour group package including hotels, so we had little influence on the choice of hotel or our assigned room. as a result we were given a drab, dull room with very unattactive furnishings, overlooking an area with trash and construction equipment and material. we tried to change or upgrade our room... We have just returned from a great week staying in the Hotel President. Both rooms were clean, large and had free WiFi. The pool was lovely and cleaned every morning. The breakfast buffet consisted of typical Italian cakes and sweetened croissants but was plentiful. There is a spacious car park which seemed far busier during weekends. The reception staff spoke... My partner and I stayed here in June 2011. The hotel it self was pretty standard, room was fine, nice pool, very good food. However we were on a 'beach' holiday as describe on travelzoo. The beach is very difficult to get to from the hotel and unfortunately spending several days trying to work this out is my main memory... More

I've stayed at the Hotel President a few times with colleagues, family and friends - it is a clean, fairly modern hotel. There is WIFI in the foyer, and a great pool at the back of the hotel. The indoor restaurant is OK, the food is good- but I recommend the outdoor eating area by the pool - it is... More

If comfort, convenience, or service are important to you, avoid this hotel. There are two distinct buildings with guest rooms at the Hotel President--I stayed in the building on the right (looking at the main picture on tripadvisor). Overall, it's a dark and dingy place. Room furnishings are quite dated and a generally musty atmosphere pervades the building. There is... More

We arrived to the hotel without prior booking and got an excellent room. Tired from whole day trip the pool was more than refreshing and we even took an early morning swim before breakfast. Breakfast "Sicily like" but great staff. They booked a Donnafugata vine production plant for us and found addresses and phone numbers of two agro-tourism spots on... More

. As a 3* it was marvellous. Our room was enormous with a balcony overlooking the pool and spotlessly clean.Linen was changed and it was cleaned daily by very friendly staff. Breakfast was taken on the outdoor terrace (surrounded by jasmine in full flower) daily and was the usual european selection of croissants, fresh fruit, bread, cake and ham and... More

OMG - I can not believe i have returned from a holiday feeling such utter disappointment with the Hotel President. The food was diabolical.Breakfast consisted of stale rolls with see through ham and cheese that clearly had been refrigerated day after day. The dinner if i described it you would feel sick!! I will leave that to your imagination.... The... More

the hotel is stuck in the 80's and looks like the last time any money was spent on it. the beach is 6km away there is no taxis and only one bus every hour which we only found out from locals. its a car dominated place. Found the staff unhelpful and they could not understand english, not a place that... More
