Perfect place to come for a break between Rome and Florence! Staff is wonderful. Swimming every morning and evening followed by a fantastic dinner. Went with two other couples and all had a great time together.

We spent a fantastic week at Tenuta San Carlo! Everything was booked with "Clean Getaway Travel" and Loretta took care of all the details. Each day was greeted with a cup of coffee followed by a long bike ride to the beach for a daily class of "Yoga on the Beach". The property and the nearby beach were a perfect... More

We attended a "Family" birthday party with nearly 30 people from all over the world at Tenuta San Carlo. We were treated like Royalty. The food was farm fresh and wonderful, Homemade breakfasts including blueberry yogurt and french toast. Dinners were incredible including roast pig. Rooms were basic but comfortable and the local scenery was beautiful with deer running all... More

Tenuta San Carlo was a wonderful setting for a group of friends who gathered to celebrate a dear friend's milestone birthday. We were a large group and filled every apartment. The staff was incredibly hardworking, turning out delicious breakfasts (best yoghurt ever) and multicourse dinners. They were very accomodating, providing extra towels, a flashlight, information on buses and trains from... More

reTreat & Renaissance started our trip out with our reTreat at Tenuta San Carlo and it was perfect. We were surrounded by the beauty of this unspoiled area of Tuscany. Nature abounds here from the gentle farm life to the pine lined paths to the sea. Each morning we would be greeted by deer, horses, cows, birds, pheasants and wild... More

I never imagined I could stay in Tuscany in such surroundings. The country estate is huge, with pine trees as far as the eyes can see, dears, rabbits, horses, cows and so on. The sea is just 20 minutes bike ride away, though I didn't get to see it because the path was flooded. The room (La Lepre) was very... More

Our group spent a week at Tenuta San Carlo, an “Agriturismo” or farm Bed and Breakfast, which was our base of operations for exploring southern Tuscany with our guide. Daily breakfast and dinner was included; the food was farm-fresh and excellent, ranging from fresh yogurt and mozzarella cheese made from the milk of the farm’s cows, to fresh pastas and... More

I visited Tenuta San Carlo and Maremma Tuscany for the first time. It was a dream visit. Being from Texas, it had that kind of openness, ranches, Tuscan beef cattle, and hills plus the Mediterrean Sea. There are private walking trails in the National Maremma Park, the occasional wild horses and wild boar , and many types of birds at... More

We arranged a week in Tenuta San Carlo for Ivy League college friends with spouses - all seniors in their early 70's. With two nine passenger vans, a 4 passenger vehicle and a travel guide, we spent days in Tuscany exploring wonderful sites and our evenings at Tenuta San Carlo. We had fabulous dinners and wine, wonderful travel companions, beautiful... More

Tenuta San Carlo is so authentic Tuscan and special. My second visit in two years. Yes, it's a 1000 acre estate farm in the protected Maremma National Park with direct private access to the Sea; yes, it has restored apartments in former farm buildings where you can cook when you wish or, even better, have authentic Tuscan cooking with most...
