However romantic sleeping in Venice itself might seem, trundling your suitcase around through the crowds looking for your hotel has its drawbacks. This excellent B&B/Guest House offers a perfect alternative. A stone's throw from Mestre station if you are travelling by train or free private parking in the hotel courtyard if you arrive by car, you can reach Venice in... More

I'll start with the good things first: well located (short walk from Mestre station) and warm welcome. However we had so much trouble while staying here. 1. In the middle of the night the alarm went off and all electricity was cut off. We seemed to be the only ones waken up to this. We could not find anyone in... More

Dear Guests, Thank you very much for your review of Our Home. First of all, this is an house or better our Home, where I take care of my guests. Because Casa Villa Gardenia is an old villa, in the silence of the home, you can always hear the telephone ring (just 2 rings in you case). As regards the... More

Lorenza was great. The place was beautiful. Location perfect: quiet neighborhood, beautiful water fountain in front, very good restaurant nearby, 5 minutes walking to train station. The price was very good. The breakfast were absolutely amazing. Best Cappuccino ever. Very little storage space (no drawers). We had to live out of our suitcases. Only one chair in room so I borrowed... More

If you choose to stay outside of Venice proper, this is an excellent choice. Only a few minutes walk from Mestre train station, it offers easy access to Venice, and in our case, also allowed us to easily take a two hour train trip for a day trip to Trieste. The lovely accommodations are in an old but charming villa.... More

Great place to stay just outside of Venice. Two minute walk to train station and the bus stops right across the street. Lots of parking and great restaurants nearby. Lorenza gave us great hints on touring Venice that saved us a lot of money. Rooms were great, as was breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 2 nights at this superb B&B. The location just outside of Venice turned out to be a wise choice and exceeded our expectations. The proximity to the nearby train station was ideal and there was also a bus station across the street. The "red room" that we stayed in was meticulously clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated as... More

We have always promised our daughters a few days in Venice. We decided to stay outside of Venice because of the high prices. Casa Villa Gardenia was a convenient place for us to stay. Lorenza booked us a bedroom with one double bed and two small single beds for our daughters (12 and 14). There was parking just outside the... More

Casa villa Gardenia was a wonderful play to stay while visiting Venice. The room was small but very comfortable for 2. The breakfast was fabulous with breads, meats, cheese, eggs, fruit. Madam Lorenza made us feel welcome in her home and gave us tips of what to see each of our 4 days in Venice. Get the bus and water bus... More

What a wonderful way to see all of the sights in Venice without hauling luggage into the city and paying ridiculous city hotel rates. Set in a quiet neighbourhood, this B&B offered the best breakfast, along with clean and spacious rooms plus excellent Venice information from our hostess, Lorenza. The bus to Venice is literally right across the street and... More

We loved our stay in this hotel. Very comfortable and clean at 10 min from the heart of Venice (line 6 or 6/, the bus stop is in front of the hotel). Excellent breakfast. Think about buying bus ticket at the Piazzala Roma booth rather than in the hotel area as the 'Tabacchi' is not opened from noon to 4:00... More
