Filthy showers and toilets Washing up sinks always needed cleaning before use. (All sinks placed at a level to give full-grown adults back-ache.) Camp shop never open at breakfast time. No family showers or toilets. Water either scalding or freezing. What a joke.

We stayed at this campsite as the closest to go ape and also had lots to do for children so looked good, however the toilets and showers were not clean and took a number of people to complain before anything was done but still not cleaned to a good enough standard. I would never stay there again!

Will never camp here again due to the disgusting facilities! For what we received in regard to camping the cost was rediculous! Poor value all round! Excessive notice after 11pm - toilets which were cleaned once after 10am and then again the next morning!!!!! Would not recommend this campsite!

We have been camping many times, with different budgets and at many different sites. This one however could be so so good. The shower blocks are cleaned-if you think cleaned means the floors are mopped! There are two blocks for men and two for women. One is left open and is in need of a deep clean. The other, a... More

At £23.00 per night for my group of less than 4 people in one tent with no electric hook up it's poor value to have dirty, tatty loos, less than tepid showers in the early evening and no hot water at the washing up stands but great location to have direct river access for canoe/kayack and the choice of 2... When we arrived on the Thursday evening of the BH weekend, all was good with the world. I was expecting the site to get busier as the weekend went on and was interested to see how the inadequate facilities would cope...they didn't! Although it would seem that some of this would be down to some of the other campers...I doubt... More

We stayed as two families and the pitch sizes were good, we had hard standing although we had tents so parked our cars on the hard areas and used the grass surrounds which was fine. We had electric hook ups and should have had water on our pitch but a hose was already attached to this for the monster truck... More

We returned from a fantastic break away in our tent! We enjoyed a fabulous offer of 4 nights for the priceof 3 which provided excellent value for money. We opted for a pitch with electric hook up and was very pleased to find we had our own tap too. The showers were lovely and hot and powerful. The Managers onsite... More

We had yet another great stay at the Hop Farm. Staff were friendly and facilities were clean. There were certainly improvements from last year. Owners were visible when patrolling the site throughout the day and evening and the shower blocks were kept cleaner.

I have to say after our weekend away we were surprised at some of the negative reviews we had read about this campsite. We found the reception staff to be very pleasant and helpful especially as we arrived quite late on the Friday night. Our pitch which had electric hook up was very large and easy to find. The campsite... More
