Despite being a bit tacky, the hands down best part of this hotel is its location - it's literally 3 mins from the train station. In a city which is extremely luggage-unfriendly (think lots of bridges and narrow walkways), this is a very important point. Note the train station is not in the same building as the bus station. We... more

Belle Epoque is probably similar to a thousand Italian hotels - some things very good, some not so good, most things average or satisfactory. Its best features are location (about one minute's walk from the train station and on a busy street full of shops and eateries) and the decor, which is amusingly garish. They are very proud of their... more

We stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful stay. The rooms were extreamly comfortable and clean. The hotel is close to everything. About a 15 min walk to Rio Alto Bridge and about a 20 min walk to St. Mark's square. We would definatly stay here again. more

This is a lovely, though a bit cheesy hotel, right next to the train station. The decor is very old style Venetian with a good breakfast. The only problem is that the Reception Clerk, Giovanni, was so unpleasant that he almost ruined our trip. My daughter and I called him "grumpy" the rest of the time. The other clerks were... more

Would happily recommend this hotel to anyone taking a short break in Venice. Hotel is approx. 15 mins walk from St Marks Square via the the Rialto Bridge, reached through a number of pretty little squares and alleyways sporting many great shops and eateries. Also just a hop from the water bus stop from where much of Venice and the... more

We had our room changed (from a normal one to an extra small one) and our luggage moved to the new room without our permission when we were out for dinner and without any prior communication nor late excuses! We will never go back to this hotel! more

My friend and I arrived in Venice early in the morning on the train from Lake Como. We arrived at the hotel early as well, and the polite front desk clerk advised that it was too early to check in. He was kind enough to hold our bags for us until we returned. We dropped off the bags, and set... more

I was anxious because this was the first time I'd booked with Expedia, but everything went like clockwork. Kiosk staff at the airport were excellent, explaining various ticket options for the bus to Venice. The Belle Epoque is close to the bus station - out of the bus station to the Grand Canal, turn right, cross the bridge, right again,... more

Spent a very pleasant weekend at the Belle Epoque in Venice recently. Firsty I must say that the hotels location is excellent especially if you are arriving by train. On arrival I was warmly greeted and although It was before noon ,my room was ready and I was able to check in. The room itself was fine ,clean comfortable and cosy... more
