Stayed at the Don Pedro for 2 weeks half board. Absolutely brilliant, Part of a party of 5 adults and 1 child (aged 6). Superior rooms gave fantastic views of surrounding mountains. No disappointment with the room although the bathroom could have done with some elbow grease around the seals to clear away some soap scum. Several reviewers have confused the quality of the general location and the hotel. Malcesine is a small pretty town with all the usual facilities of a lake-side resort. The Don Pedro is pretty mediocre, some 20 minutes away up the mountain (by a fairly steep, winding and sometimes dangerous road). Taxis are hard to come by and the hotel minibus... more
