Just returned home from 11 days at this wonderful hotel, what an excellent place, staff so friendly and helpful and accommodating, the room ( or should i say suite ) that we were given was absolutely amazing, not one but two huge balconies with a view of the amalfi coast that was simply breathtaking, the breakfast was superb, loads and... Maiori is a beautiful, quiet town. If you come, expect to go sightseeing (on land and by sea) but don't expect to kick up your heels because it doesn't have that kind of nightlife. For a Canadian like me the tight switchback roads were scary (let me be honest, they were out right TERRORS!!!) But these Italian drivers are amazing... More

Three nights in this great hotel. Older style but has everything. It was great to sit on the balcony and watch the waves roll in with the bay lights in the background. Located at the end of the bay with the ocean in front and view all the way around the bay. Close enough to walk along the beach front.... More

This hotel is at one end of Maiori right on the beach. It was clean and adequate with cheery helpful service from the staff. The hot breakfast - scrambled eggs and bacon didn't seem to be replenished when finished and was cold on the two occasions there was some left. There was plenty other choice though of cereal, fruit, cheese,... More

We stayed in this hotel for five day. We found it to be in an excellent location opposite the beach and walking distance to the shops and restaurants. The staff were excellent. Our room was large and clean; it overlooked the beach. The staff were excellent. I can highly recommend it.

We stayed here for one week in June 2014, nice hotel basic but clean and well maintained. Continental breakfast was adequate for a relaxing holiday I would definitely return The rooms at the front of the hotel had beautiful sea views with a large balcony however there were side rooms which overlooked the road, be careful to aske for a... I've just left Italy and I already miss the Hotel Sole Splendid! Excellent place in the nice, cosy town of Maiori on the Amalfi Coast. The breakfast was incredibly good and varied, their staff friendly and very professional. My room was very large and comfortable, the tiles of the floor were really a masterpiece of local ceramic artcraft . I... More

We visited four cities in Italy and this was my favorite hotel. The room fridge never got cold and the furnishings were sparse. But the balcony and large French doors opening to the sea won me over. We had tea on our balcony while enjoying the view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. We left the balcony doors open all night and... More

The Sole Splendid is a good solid old fashioned hotel for exploring the Amalfi Coast or for a sunny beach holiday. It is situated at the quiet end of the promenade of Maiori, which is one of the most family oriented and traditional towns along the coast. It is also one of the more affordable towns and is a good... More

We spent a glorious week enjoying this hotel located directly on the boardwalk/beach in Maiori with its stunning views. From the warm greeting, to the attentive service, early breakfast accommodation to enable us to get away for our daily trips and large rooms that provided the basics, there is nothing fancy about the rooms, you have a sense of space...
