Stayed here many times, gorgeous views and amazing place. Loads of history. Local village just down the hill. Beach 20 minutes in hire car. Super food at hotel; sometimes had to go in to find staff but not a problem as they left you in peace by the pool. Caution bring your suntan lotion!

Stayed here last weekend for a family wedding for two nights. WOW, what an amazing place. Fantastic sized rooms, great food, nice surroundings and nice swimming pool. Overall a faultless experience and can highly recommend

This is a convenient base from which to explore the Pescara provincial region, especially if you land upon a discount package for multi-night stays. The castle courtyard has been topped with a glass dome, creating a gigantic lobby area for lounging and terrific elevator views. The staff is conscientious and will check out anything for you. Our bedroom and our... More

On our way back to Northern Italy, we decided to stay at Castello Chiola Hotel, never having stayed in a castle before. For the very reasonable price we paid, we were given an enormous room, ( I mean 40 feet long), with vaulted ceiling, huge, king sized bed, enormous bathroom and a beautiful view of the Abruzzo countryside. Truly what... More

My wife booked the Castello for a night and we both loved it. The staff were pleasant and the place itself is amazing. We also had the good fortune to have been upgraded to a Junior Suite, which was enormous and had a lovely view. We left the window open at night and the wind howled through our room leaving... More

We stayed 2 nights at Castello Chiola in June 2014 & although we had read up on the hotel we weren't prepared for the wealth of history tied up in the surroundings - to be staying in a castle dating back over 1200 years was amazing. We had booked a sea view room & although we didn't get one the... More

We had been warned about visiting when a wedding was going on and yes if your room looks in to the hotel, the music is very loud but it was all done by 10pm so we just went for a late dinner. The staff are friendly but not overtly helpful. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and ours had... More

A very good four star in a lovely location. Perfect for a short break in an ancient town. Friendly and professional staff. Amazing breakfast. Enormous rooms with spacious beds. Modern television with Italian and English options. We were disappointed that the restaurant did not seem open and WiFi is very limited. It was also difficult to find someone to order... More

We were in a charming little corner of Abruzzo and had stayed at Castello Chiola in the past. It never fails to disappoint. The rooms are unbelievably large and well appointed; the staff is friendly and attentive. Everything is clean. We use this hotel as a home base to explore the local villages and mountains of Abruzzo. While it has... More

We spent just 1 evening in the Castello for a friend's wedding. They reserved the castle for their guests. The castle is very well kept, luxurious yet intimate. The staff were accommodating. There is a pool outside on the terrace and we all had a nice swim there. It is clean and fits in well with the castello. Others were... More
