We happened across this absolute gem thanks to google and trip advisor. Couldn't have been happier. Great room, amazing food and brilliant hosting. We had a tip top meal (and rather tasty bottle of house malbec) and came away happy and full! Don't hesitate, just book!

Went with three friends for dinner, had a lovely time. Very friendly welcoming staff with a very professional attitude, and nice not over fussy decor. Nice area to have a pre dinner drink and dining room very cosy. Food served in good time and all of us had different options and all delicious with no complaints other than I should... More

What a stunning find. I am almost loath to submit a review in case too many people find it and we can't get back in ourselves. This place is amazing. My wife, Jill, and I and Jill's sister, Sue, and her husband, Jim, went up to Suffolk for a few days, partly to visit the Bressingham Steam Museum, part of... More

Stayed 3 nights at the end of March. Everything went very smoothly from booking direct all the way to checking out. This is a family owned and run establishment. Thanks Big John, Young John and Dee (Dragica), plus all the team front and back of house. If, like me, you want to practice your Serbo-Croat skills Dee will be kind... More

What can one say, new to the area was told about the Auberge thought we would give it a try. We were sold we decided to have all the rooms for our guests plus an evening meal. We were NOT disappointed, the Host/Hostess/ Family moved the tables into a horseshoe for closeness. Every thing one wanted was given with no... More

Thank you for a lovely couple of days. Your rooms are beautiful and the food was wonderful. Will definitely stay again. A great base for touring round south Norfolk and Suffolk, but for goodness sake, avoid Thetford!!!!

My partner and I stayed for one night last weekend and couldn't have had better service. The welcome was warm and very friendly, the room was just lovely, very clean and the superking bed SO comfy. I enjoyed the best nights sleep I'd had in ages although this may have had something to do with the superb meal and good... More

We had a recent short stay at The Auberge had a nice room and lovely breakfast but unfortunately accommodation was very close to a busy road so sleep disturbed by traffic noise on both Saturday and Sunday night which was a shame.

This is a truly 'owner managed' hotel, with the owners and her family visibly in touch with the needs of all visitors. The rooms are lovely and homely, great showers, furnishings and peaceful. Huge comfy beds. Its a small hotel so the perfect antidote to the 'corporate' experience, yet with everything you might need to do business. Wi-fi, desk in... More

Yes - It was a most enjoyable stay and NO - It wont be long before I try and go back. As a result of other reviews on here we booked for two nights full board and were not disappointed. I am very tall and asked for a room with a large bed - Room No.1 certainly has a King... More
