Menus poor, food poor. Staffing levels for a so called 5 star (reduced to 4 star within the last 6 months) poor. Breakfast - tinned fruit!! Pool bar never open Had to find staff to serve drinks at the pool and to control sun shades. To Trip Advisor - Please note this hotel was been demoted to 4 star during... More

Dear Madam: Having been harassed for days with constructive advices we feared you would eventually end up posting a negative feedback on the Internet. All through your stay we respectfully endured your continued reporting to the Management of what you thought were anomalies as you kept dispensing nitpicking tips to our dismayed staff. However, time has come now to strongly... More

We had a five day break here starting ninth Ocober 2013. The half board terms were brilliant. An excellent breakfast, with fast coffee service started each day. The buffet breakfast was hygienically superb and had as much as any sensible person could need. The evening meals were superb, considering there were very few non-group guests. The evening waiter, despite having... More

everything ok really... personnel hugely sympathetic and trying hard... on average their english is ok great swiming pool, but partly using geothermal water which gives the water a sort of haziness which is less esthetic and makes one hit some low depth pool bottoms, hotel should paint bottom and walls of pool blue... pool would then really be great. water... The hotel is located on the slope of the mountain; it is nicely decorated with light brown colors, it has a nice lobby and rooms facing the sea view. The number of stars rating of the hotel was questionable; we could see places marked with 4 stars and others with 5 stars. Our room was medium sized, clean and tidy,... More

It was August 2011. During research for my first book "Hermes the Olympian" I stopped here for two (much too short) nights. This could have been the Island where heartbroken Odysseus stayed with Calypso after he lost his crew. The hotel is idyllic and the spa pool was the location of much of my visualisation. This was the best Hotel... More

Hello – my review of the Tritone Hotel in Lipari seems to have been lost in transit, so here is a recap: A real gem The Tritone Hotel on the island of Lipari was one of the lodging highlights in our week-long tour of Sicily. It looked as if recently refurbished. Based high on a hill so that the view... More

A disappointment ... We decided to stay at this "five star" hotel as an unprecedented travel luxury. Instead, it turned out to be the least favorite place we stayed. We had several days to experience it so feel that our experiences were true. Without ranting ... Neither the heat nor the cooling in the room worked. We asked and were... More

Stayed here for one night. Hotel would be 3 star in other countries. Over priced for the small basic rooms

I would certainly research other hotel options within this price point before selecting the Hotel Tritone. Having travelled all the way from the U.S. to Lipari (and the Aeolian Islands are well worth it and quite lovely), the Hotel Tritone is definitely a let down. The property is old and eclectic - an odd hodgepodge of decor, furnishings and architecture... More

Situated at the bottom end of Corso Vittorio Emanuele lll up a steepish hill, Hotel Tritone sits prettily, looking out to sea. We stayed in room 210 which has a small balcony overlooking the swimming pool. To the left we had a perfect view of the sea and to the right we had a splendid view of Mount Guardia. The... More
