My wife and I stayed at the Orient Hotel for five nights from 22nd September. The location is convenient to everything. Staff were very pleasant and the breakfast was plentiful if you arrived early. Being Italian, we felt very uncomfortable hearing the managers constantly arguing in the foyer plus the wifi only worked within the dining room, this was awkward... More

Full of collectables and trekkers. Great rooms and courtyard, nice staff, fabulous breakfast. Saw Stromboli at night on the Paloma boat. It left late, came back early and didn't stay long enough at the volcano. No swimming included. Make sure you know what your boat will do when you select. Stromboli was way cool! Even just from the boat.

Situated one hundred metres from the main street and 800 metres from the port, the Oriente is ideally located for those wishing to enjoy the many attractions of this delightful town, the island of Lipari or to act as base from which to journey to the other Aeolian Islands. The hotel itself is worthy of the description of tourist attraction.... More

Great hotel. We had a room at the back to the garden, so it was quite quiet and private. Really good breakfast (one of the best coffee's i had from a hotel). We found the staff very friendly and helpful.

The perfect place to stay if you plan to use Lipari as a base to explore the other Aeolian Islands. Yes, the rooms are basic, but they have everything one needs. I ask - who wants to hang out in the hotel room when there is so much to see and do around the islands! The location is brilliant -... More

Hotel Oriente was good, but it could have been better. The guy that picked us up from the ferry didn't even say hello, and the receptionist was initially quite abrupt when giving us our key to the room with no explanation of things to do around the area. Our room was ok, though a bit tired, cracked picture frame, clock... More

We stayed at Hotel Oriente for 2 nights in July. We absolutely loved it! The owner was friendly, funny and hospitable. He made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived until he came out to shake out hand as we were leaving. His collection was a treasure trove of artifacts that were made more interesting by his stories. The... More

We had a room at the back of the garden which was very private with a patio that we used often. The room was larger than any others we had in Sicily. Breakfast was very good. The staff was excellent - the owner, the desk staff and breakfast waiters. All very helpful. One hint when you are taking the ferry... More

Stayed here for two nights on 8/10/09 and 9/10/09. Paid 76 Euros per room per night including breakfast. Booked through Venere website. We found it difficult to choose somewhere suitable in Lipari and were unsure what to expect given limited information, but it turned out to be one of the best places of the holiday, both for the island and... I can say only positive things about the Oriente. I start from the excellent quality/price ratio. We were looking for a place from where to explore the islands. We didn't care about having a private beach or a sea-view room, because we expected to be back at the hotel just for sleeping. Therefore, the Oriente was perfect for us. It... More
