Unlike other guests we were unimpressed with the Hotel Duomo. Like l'Aquila in general it has a run down feel to it. Rooms are shabby and could do with a lick of paint. We stayed in one with a view over the piazza but the room had a dark feel and was not somewhere we wanted to spend too much... more
we paid 80 EUR for a double, without breakfast. The room was pleasant, with two little balconies that gave out on the main square. The only disadvantage is that the market starts early every morning and the stand that sells CDs woke us up at 8am by playing its wares very loud (but stopped again after 20mins, so we napped... more
The Duomo Hotel is a special little place for me. The room we got was quite spacious comfortable bed. We specifically asked for a room with a balcony view over Piaza Duomo.
