We visited this hotel before the earthquake and loved it. Although we were happy to see it open again it has lost some of its character. Virtually no storage in the rooms and ours was dark. Breakfast pretty poor. Nice people in difficult circumstances- 6 years later and the centre still looks like a war zone. Not a place to... More

L;Aquila is unfortunately a ghost town, even 6 years after the devastating earthquake. As a result, I would not want to stay (nor do I think one can) in the "center". This hotel is on the lower edge of town and in a nice spot that has some activity to it, esp. with the 99 Cannelle fountain across the street.... More

Very nice, small family hotel. From outside it does not look very appealing, but once you enter you absolutely love it. Renovated with taste, and every day some can find some little detail that will amaze. Hotel stuff is very pleasant and helpful especially Massimiliana who can help you find everything in L'Aquila, places to visit, eat, clubs... Hotel is... More

Great restaurant with lovely food and friendly service. Nice, quiet, comfortable room with big bathroom. We liked the exposed stone walls and the skylights with remote-control blinds. Quiet location. No complaints.

Good base for walking on the Gran Sasso (15 - 20 minutes). Very welcoming friendly staff - thanks Nicola for the walking advice! Excellent restaurant though breakfast could be better. Room perfect and spacious with good view over the 99 Cannelle, good bathroom and shower (temp control too sensitive - either boiling or cold). Third bed for daughter was on... More

the hotel is little but nice. located in front of the famous 99 cannelle fountain. it's a place managed by the friends of the owner. nice people, but not necessarily with the largest customer service and tourism skills. bad experience with the hot water not available on the morning ("the heather does not work and we're waiting for the plumber...",... This hotel is cute and convenient to the center of L'Aquila. The rooms are clean, quaint and simple. Breakfast is included in the price and it is very good -- there is a selection of pastries, yogurt, and fruit. We dined in the hotel restaurant one night and the food was very good there too. The staff are bilingual and... More

We had previously eaten in the restaurant (which is somewhat out of the main town centre - with a steep climb). So we booked a night in the hotel - for a treat - no driving! But we were so disappointed. The room (we were shown 2!) was so pokey & nothing like the ones we saw on the website!... More

I visited this little hotel recently and was very impressed with its design. The rooms were functional and efficient but with loads of character detail. For example, in the lobby floor there's a window that lets you see the water that still flows through the ancient aquaduct below. There are similar details in the rooms as well. I love that... More
