My wife and I stayed here for four nights on a tour. Staff were friendly & pleasant as you would expect of any hotel and spoke good English at the reception desk. Pool and surrounding gardens were also quiet good. Our room was tired and cheaply furnished, NO mini-bar stock, NO bath, air-con didn't work during daytime (petty penny pinching)... More

I've actually stayed here twice. It basically is what it is, the rooms are very antiquated and bare minimum. The grounds are very nice and the staff is very helpful. The owner is always around and very nice. The pool area is very nice especially since they charge you for the beach use it does not come with your room....there... More

We stayed here on a Riviera trip, and found the room and general facilities excellent. The staff were helpful and room large and recently refurbished, although others on the Riviera tour had rooms not yet refurbished. The pool area was clean and pleasant. Negative aspect was the food which was bland and uninteresting. Some was virtually inedible and we ended... More

The Positives We stayed here for 12 nights on a Dinner Bed & Breakfast basis. We could not fault the evening meals, the breakfast lacked a full English option considering how many English people were staying there, but we were in Sicily and not the UK!! The waiters particularly Andreas and Benedetto were really friendly and helpful and really tried... More

We stayed at the start of September for the second part of our excellent week-long tour with Riviera, For a four star hotel though this place could and should do a lot better. It looks great, a good location and nice gardens surrounding the pool. My big gripe however was being asked to pay for wifi. It didn't even work... More

A pleasant and well maintained Hotel with good facilities. Rooms are spacious and clean, but beds are very HARD. Meals: breakfast was prompt and satisfactory. Evening dinner was lengthy while well dressed waiters tried to cope with 200 travelers from four different Tour Companies. Quality of meal was appalling; over-cooked and tasteless.

We stayed for four nights. Our room was on the first floor, it was reasonably sized & equipped and had a decently sized balcony, which overlooked, when one rotated by eighty degrees, a beautiful view of mount Etna rising above the hotel’s beautiful garden & pool. We had plenty of storage space, the room was well cleaned and equipped with... More

We recently spent ten days in the Sant Alphio Garden Hotel. The hotel presented a clean well-cared for image. When we arrived late a cold meat dinner awaited us. We were booked in on a Bed, Breakfast and evening meal basis. Choice of menu was interesting each night, the food having a distinctly Italian flavour. Good wine list but maybe... More

Nice hotel in a good location, close to beach, restaurants and bus, the owners are a little patronizing, act like Mafia Dons!! The hotel charges extra for everything, internet, towels, water. No complementary anything. No bath soap or conditioner. Small rooms with outdated TV, some rooms with beautiful views, some with no view at all. Morning breakfast was ok, continental... More

This is perhaps the worst hotel we have encountered in all our travels. Even 2/3-star or unrated hotels/B&B's in the Sahara Desert, the mountaintops of Bhutan and Myanmar, the small town in Laos, etc., were, in our opinion, better than the seemingly upmarket 4-star Sant Alphio. The property has an undeniably good location relative to the beach and the Giardini... More
