We chose this hotel for a 4-day stay as a compromise between my partner and I. He wanted something more affordable and I wanted something that would be clean (dust/mold free) and with a comfortable bed and bath tub. Neither of us had our ideal hotel, but what we got for the price was fair. Having said that, we discovered... More

I have been in too many places around Europe, to expect a modern-style quality when I pay 20-30% less than a usual 4-star price. I have also considered that Sicily's resort hotel prices tend to be quite outrageous, also I saw other reviews which qualified this hotel as average to say the least. Nevertheless I booked it mainly due to... More

The Sant Alphio is a family run hotel where the family are really keen that you have the best holiday possible and that your needs are met. If you want something, ask, and if at all possible it will be provided for you. The food from the A la Carte menu is excellent. The restaurant is all waiter service, since... More

Just returned from our stay at this hotel with wife and two teenage boys. Firstly the room for four was very spacious and clean had a wonderful view of mount etna and the magnificent volcano erupted on the three nights out of the four nights we stayed at our hotel. Turning to the hotel itself...we went on a half board... More

I went as part of a Riviera holiday for four nights. In that time there were 3 weddings! Our room overlooked the pool, paid a supplement for that, but at least it was quiet after about 10.30 when the wedding party came in to eat! Some Pele are on the other side where the music was on until the early... More

Clean enough to spend 4 nights; in the bathroom it was a problem : no shower hose, like a spring/fountain. very good location for beach. It will be nice the hotel should offer the sun beds on the beach free for guests, as they are on the pool. The breakfast is the worst, as Roger B said, for Italy! and... More

We have recently returned from a touring holiday of Italy finishing in Sicily. Our last 3 nights were spent at this hotel. A perfect end to a wonderful holiday. The room we had was spacious and well appointed with a balcony view of Mount Etna, the staff were polite and friendly. Restaurant food was good and typical of the area... More

our room was clean and the pool area was very pretty. The food, however was appalling!!!! Probably the worst we have ever eaten....the waiting staff were surly and unobliging. Breakfasts were better than the dinners, but in a country with an abundance of fruit.....tinned fruit for breakfast???? As italian food is rated highly in the world it was a disappointment!
