our room was clean and the pool area was very pretty. The food, however was appalling!!!! Probably the worst we have ever eaten....the waiting staff were surly and unobliging. Breakfasts were better than the dinners, but in a country with an abundance of fruit.....tinned fruit for breakfast???? As italian food is rated highly in the world it was a disappointment!

One of the problems of being a Trip Advisor subscriber is that you tend to be guided by the reviews. Well, the reviews of this hotel were quite negative but frankly I could find very little to fault it. In fact, it wasn't far off excellent. We stayed as part of a group for 4 nights in June 2014. The... More

On arriving at the hotel our bags were delivered to our room. We had a partial sea view room on the fourth floor for which we had paid extra.. The bathroom was tiny. The shower was a tight fit with two sliding doors which kept coming off the runners. Once my wife couldn't get out of the shower! I damaged... More

It was with trepidation after reading some of the horrid reviews of this lovely hotel, however on arrival the hotel looks beautiful, we checked in and got a lovely room on the 4th floor (420). The view was the sea and the lovely town of Taormina in the hills. Dinner is superb, all the staff very smart and courteous, I... More

A lovely hotel with large and comfortable rooms, air-conditioning, excellent food, and service. The owner was always around keeping an eye on things - and it showed. Small gardens but large outdoor pool, plus a heated indoor pool and jacussi. Massages available for those rich enough. From our balcony at night we could see Etna erupting -magic.

Good hotel and facilities great location. However the Germans were reserving pool side sun loungers. The management should look out for this as reservations were not permitted and sun loungers are in short supply, the only down side to the hotel. Traditional Italian breakfast. Tinned fruit and sweet pastries not great.

The hotel looks very good & no expense has been spared on the building & grounds. It is badly let down, however, by the very hard lumpy beds & very flat pillows. There is also a charge of 8 euros to use the indoor pool as well as having to also pay 1 euro for a pool towel. The price... More

I attempted to stay here for three nights as part of a tour group; however I was unable to do so due to lack of air conditioning. When I spoke to the unfriendly staff at the front desk, they informed me that the AC depends on the outside temperature, but they generally do not put the AC on until June.... More
