Reviews often tell more about the reviewer than the place. I stay a LOT in hotels and what I don't get is how people don't understand that they do things differently in different places. The standard in Italy aren't as high as in some other countries. Live with it. If you want everything perfect, uniform, well, try the Hilton next... More

For a 4-star hotel we found the property very faded, looking like nothing had been done since the 70s or 80s. We even had the old-style keys with a heavy brass fob Our room had a great view over the pool and beach but it was very hot and there was no air conditioning. Bathroom needed serious upgrading. For some... More

Having enjoyed a holiday last year, we decided to return, something we have never done before. It was a mistake. I was glad to get home. The location continues to be excellent and the dining room staff exceptional. However the hotel appearance has become shabby; cushions on chairs frayed; sun loungers very shabby; decor faded. Our room was dusty but... More

This hotel offers good room, wifi, very friendly staff, good access to attractions in the surrounding (with car). Parking is in closed area. Restaurant is good, breakfast classic, not very rich + Italian. Those, who like sweet, will be happy. Please do not calculate you receive full dinner after 9 p.m. For Sicily it is really uncommon. In your room... More

We stayed here with a group tour. I think everyone in our group had a room with a balcony overlooking the water. Very restful. The room was clean and easy to use. The front of the hotel overlooks Mt. Etna. Across the street is a little grocery store. They seem to have enough parking for their guests. We sat around... More

We were there as part of a group. Fortunately, we were given the "penthouse". 5th floor room with fantastic views. Had a huge patio that had tables and chairs. Hotel uses keys vs key cards but the keys are on a big medallion, so you leave them at front desk instead of trying to carry them. There is a small... More

My partner and I booked the Hellenia Yacht hotel through secret escapes last year. We were shown to our room (which had been 'upgraded') and greeted a space a little like a prison cell. The cramped room was filthy; shower head covered in a thick rim of mold, other people's hairs on the phone, other people's hairs on the floor,... More

Overall this place was great and we had the best room overlooking the Mediterranean. The room was very large and included a private little patio area. The water pressure and shower head made it complete. We used the beach but there is also a very nice pool which we also saw below our window. The room was very clean and... More

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. It sits right on the water with a lovely area to have coffee and start your day. We had an enormous room overlooking the water. The staff was friendly and very willing to make our visit a pleasurable one. In the evenings there was a piano player with an outside bar. The bartender, Guissepi, was... More

This hotel is a bit shabby, room had two single beds, no screen on the window to keep mosquitos out. They kept turning the electricity off and getting wi-fi was a joke. The beach looked very inviting, as did the pool, but the beach has no sand, just rocks and pebbles. Can't blame that on the hotel, I guess, but... More
