When looking for hotels in Giardini Naxos it was quite hard to find many appealing hotels as most in the town where quite small and didn't have a pool. We found the Arathena Rocks Hotel just out of the town. The rooms where massive in comparison to other hotels that I looked at and the pool was brilliant. After reading... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in August. We were a bit worried about distance from centre but we were delighted with location. We enjoyed the pool and the walk into town was always pleasant - even at lunchtime. There are plenty of restaurants close by if one doesn't feel like the 20 minute stroll. We chose this hotel because... More

I visited the hotel with my girlfriend in July 2014 which was said to be peak season. Even so the hotel never felt crowded with its spacious public areas. We had a seaside room with a balcony overlooking the salt swimming pool and lava rock seashore. It was a very soothing sight and the breeze from the sea gave some... More

I cannot praise this hotel enough. The staff are all efficient and very helpful, checking in and out was a breeze. Our room was immaculately clean , with linens and towels changed daily. The room was huge, with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea with table and chairs. Certainly worth the small surcharge for sea view ! It is an... More

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days at the start of June. It is beautiful and very quirky. The pool is by far its highlight as it backs onto the lava rocks. We snorkelled off the rocks several mornings. We were delighted we stayed here instead of in Taormina itself as we got the best of both sea and... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was great, overlooking the lovely salt-water pool and rocks and sea beyond. This is out of the main Giardini Naxos seafront and we were glad of that, because GN itself was a bit run-down and the poor relation to Taormina up on the hillside. Good points - very helpful reception... More

We stayed here for 5 nights and had big rooms with a wonderful view of the ocean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The food at the restaurant was very good. The bedsheets were starched or new and stiff as paper, but softened up after a night of use. The only thing I missed was wifi in the room, it... More

Our second hotel was in Giardini Naxos at the base of Taormina. It was Arathena Rocks. The hotel has two great views, one of the sea in front of the hotel & the second to the left of Taormina & Castelmola above it. The rooms were clean and spacious with a balcony outside. It is decorated with lots of antiques... More

This is a hotel with an enviable location, situated as it is at the end of a quiet, private road next to lava-formed rocks and the sea. Its antiquated Sicilian-style decor and furniture downstairs in the lounge and reception areas adds charm, and the sunny breakfast room has a great view across the sea. The bedroom, which had noisy and... More

Have not been to The Arathena since the birth of our grandchildren. Just booked to return in June 2014. It will be like visiting family can't wait. Looking forward to a complete holiday of pampering in a lovely part of the world.
