"This is not the Grand " is what the reception staff quoted at one of the unfortunate guests who had been redirected to the Savoy Palace after the 5 star Grand hotel had a serious outbreak of food poisoning.Sadly this was not a "Palace "either ...3 star rather than 4, Nice location near ferry terminal overlooking lake sadly not actually... Read the review from lady in IRELAND ,and packed accordingly. It would appear she stayed in a completely different Hotel . There are definetly no GALA DINNERS here and the keyboard player was around for one night only. The Reastaurant is very slow most waiters were very helpful but there was obviously problems in the kitchen, the average time for... More

We have greatly enjoyed our second visit to the Savoy Palace in 8 months and continue to heartily recommend it. The food is of the highest order created by a Chef who excels in the presentation and the Hotel's staff are welcoming and eager to please with efficient service. The location in Gardone Riviera is ideal being central for visiting... More

Stayed there for one night during driving holiday around the Italian Lakes. Fabulous hotel, might have seen better times, but you still can get some of the greand hotel feeling, for reasonable price. Room slightly chintzy but nice. Great view over lake and pool. Phantastic breakfast buffet.

After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit hesitant when we arrived at the hotel. We had booked through Expedia, which does not allow for rooms with views/balconies, but because it was our honeymoon, the hotel was nice enough to place us in a room with a pool/lake view albeit no balcony (number 206). In addition, they were... More

Stayed for 3 nights with wife & teenage sons as part of a travelling holiday. Can't figure the review below - this was the best hotel we stayed in. Front desk staff were ok, any attempt at Italian on arrival helps. Rooms were a good size, clean and well appointed. Our lake-view rooms had no balcony/french window but the majority... More

This hotel was not cheap, but the penny pinching had to be seen to be believed. The reception staff did not seem particularly pleased to see us on our arrival, and there were a number of defects in our room, eg lights not working, hooks falling off the wall. These were reported, but not rectified. Once we found the manager,... More

A fabulous all-round experience at The Savoy Palace. Booked a deluxe room with lake view - lets face it what's the point of going to Lake Garda and getting a room overlooking a busy, noisy, road. Our room on the fourth floor had the most beautiful view across the lake. Otherwise, the hotel is very well appointed with lovely evening... More

My husband and I booked a 1 week stay here in July. We chose this town as it was described as being one of the quietest on the lake which is exactly what we wanted. The vast majority of the people on our flight out were going to Riva which would be the busiest spot on the lake. The town... More

Lake Garda is stunning but be warned of the heavy traffic in the area particularly over a weekend. The hotel is lovely & the hotel staff very helpful. Our room was on the first floor so the views were a little limited - suggest you try & get higher up if you want better views of the lake. Parking is... More
