My wife and I visited Garda for the day as we were staying at another part of the lake called Porto Dusano. While in Garda we stopped at the caffe Roma and had a great lunch. I had the Prosciutto Melone and my wife had Bruschette Napoletara and drinks, bread, olives etc. and it all came to a reasonable 22euros... More

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Hotel Roma (June 4-14 2014) Hotel Roma is a small family run 21bedroomed hotel on the Lakeside in Garda town. We were in room 44, a roof top room. First impression was the room was rather small. However it did have a kingsize bed. When booking we asked for... More

The hotel Roma is run by a local family who are exceptionally warm and inviting. The hotel has great views and is location right in the heart of Garda. There's also a fun cafe/bar/gelateria downstairs, where I spoke to a charming Danish waitress named Julia. Would strongly recommend!

Myself and my husband have just returned from a week in the Hotel Roma. We had a lovely room with large terrace on the first floor. Our room was spotless as was the rest of the hotel. We had a lovely breakfast every morning which was plentiful with lots of choice, also plenty of fresh coffee all enjoyed on the... More

What makes the Roma stand out from so many other Garda properties is its fabulous location just 30 yards or so from the enchanting Lakeside. Breakfast sitting outside there is an absolute delight with a superb array of food and scenery that is to die for. Staff were extremely professional and our room was adequate given that we booked late.... More

We once again returned in July to the hotel Roma. This is my 10th visit and the experience just gets better each year. We now return for a 3 week stay in a room with a balcony and terrace overlooking the lake on the first floor. The hotel is so popular that to ensure such s room we book for... More

Arrived to be shown our room with no balcony which we thought we had booked. Couldn't open the windows as the air conditioning went off if we did. Tried to upgrade to a room with a balcony and offered to pay any extra cost but were told they were fully booked although we never once saw anyone in the lake... More

We returned to Garda and the Hotel Roma, in mid September, as before Roma was full so could only stay a few days. As before the hotel was very welcoming and the staff treated us very well and remembered our earlier visit. The Terrace room 42 was excellent, the views form the terrace are spectacular. On our final day we... More

Just returned from Garda staying at this lovely bed and breakfast hotel. Family run, very friendly, spotlessly clean. Great breakfast plenty of choice. Did not have lakeside view but did'nt hinder us because we did'nt need to sit on balcony - spent our time outside on the lakeside. A very good base just 30 yards from ferry service. Would definitely... More

Hotel location is great, the staff are really good, the breakfast has something for everyone and the hotel is spotless. Breakfast looking out over the lake is a plus. Thankfully the room had air con as the weather was really hot. I had a lake view room which was lovely but if you cant get one don't let that put... More
