We arrived in this hotel for only one night, thankfully with our one month old baby. The condition of the cot was disgraceful. It was broken and very very dirty. Unacceptable to expect a baby to sleep in it. There is no wifi in the room and one of the light switches were broken and my fiancé got an electric... More

Excellently placed hotel in Garda, directly on the lakeshore. Well placed for the Ferries, the Bus Station and for getting about town Staff are all very, very attentive, without being "In your Face". The rooms are not large but are well appointed with, possibly, too much furniture. This area can be a bit noisy with street cleaning and early deliveries... More

As in other reviews this hotel was in an excellent position to the lake and catching the ferries to go sightseeing of the other resorts around the lake, we staying half board but did find after a while to be fed up of the menu which we could chose from as the other choices on the al a carte menu... So glad we choose this hotel, first time in Italy & Lake Garda, opted for half-board and could not fault the food, service & choices. Rooms were a little dated but hotel is full of character and well looked after by the family who own it. Excellent staff & great service. Perfect spot, level with the Lakeside, unlike lots of... We stayed here for a week and had read the reviews so knew what to expect, small rooms and showers. Yes they were small but the bathroom was a decent site and the room was very clean. We were lucky to have a terrace with reclining chairs which was a bonus, room 136. Perfect location on the old square which... More

My hubby and myself have just returned yesterday from a fortnight in ~Garda staying at the Astoria, and we couldn't have wished for a better hotel. ~We have stayed in Garda many times but it was our first time at this hotel, our main concern was there being no lift. ~That wasn't a problem, in fact the exercise was good... Hotel was clean, tidy, staff very helpful especially one particular waiter who had to explain the very difficult menu that guests have to choose their evening meal from as it was different from the other menu that the public can choose their food from which makes life very confusing not only for us but must be hard for the chef... The hotel is certainly not luxurious but we knew this when booking. Its location by the lake is excellent allowing speedy access to the many lakeside restaurants and the ferry terminal. It is also only a five minute walk to the bus station. The hotel is clean with a good reception area with its many comfortable sofas. The staff in... More
