Locanda San Vigilio has to be one of, if not the most idyllic and enchanting locations to stay on Lake Garda. The property dates from c1500 and includes Sir Winston Churchill and HRH Prince Charles among its patrons. The boutique hotel situated right on the water has about ten rooms and suites and yet benefits from a restaurant with both... More

Spent an amazing evening at the hotel for a pre-wedding party. There were forty five people in our group from all over the world and all agreed that the evening was one of the best we'd experienced anywhere! The hotel staff could not have been more attentive, service was excellent. The food was amazing, a buffet of wonderful fish, fresh... More

Far too expensive for what it offers. Rooms are comfortable but poorly lighted. Food of average quality; breakfasts are adequate but not more than adequate. Service is friendly and location is attractive. However, the hotel is totally overpriced and does not make the impression of a four star plus establishment

Arrogant and extremely unhelpful staff at this hotel made for a very unpleasant experience all together. First of all we were ignored, then when we asked for help with our transport arrangements we were told it was possible, then we were told it was impossible - when we asked why, when we had been previously assured they could help we... This is a truly unique place! We rented a suite in the hotel which in fact was a separate three floor house with private garden. Beautifully decorated - great beds and big bathrooms with thick towles and Hermes soap and shampoo :-). The beach is clean with plenty of sunbeads and places to buy food, ice cream and water toys.... We booked a table for lunch as we wanted to escape the heat and hubbub of Verona on a hot Saturday and we were not disappointed. After a 45 minute taxi ride we were dropped at this charming ancient building right on the water's edge and shown to our table in the small courtyard terrace. The staff were very friendly... More

From the moment of arrival to the moment of check-out you know you are in a very special place. After a friendly welcome, we were shown to a lovely room overlooking the hotel’s little harbour and Lake Garda beyond. The free WiFi worked perfectly. The restaurant demonstrated Italian cooking at its finest. Our table was by a window with the... More

A very old and quaint perfect small lakeside hotel with 15 rooms including a few suites. A very nice large pool is set in an old olive grove/ garden which was secluded with lovely lake views and was only a short walk from the hotel, The very small harbour adjoining the hotel has the 'taverna' attached so drinks and food... One drives a good quarter of a mile through almost private gardens before finally getting to the lake front and this hotel. I say almost private because there were signs for camping off to the right over a hill, but I never saw the site. To the left, down a drive past a private, closed house one enters a courtyard,...
