Myself, my husband and our 3 year old spent four nights at this hotel in April 2017. The location is perfect, just 2 minutes from the main square. A friend, who is a local, said that it may be a bit difficult to find a parking spot nearby, so if you are coming with a car, make sure to inquire about your options. If you are without a car, location is a perfect 10. We stayed at room 22, with one double and one single bed (good for 3 adults). Our room had its own mini hallway (where we kept the stroller and suitcases, which was great), and an en suite private bathroom. (some rooms have a private bathroom, but not an en suite; meaning that you have to go across the public hall to use the toilet.) The bathroom is newly renovated, it was perfectly clean, and spacious. Towels were new and plush, hand soap and shower gel/shampoo were included. We had no problems with hot water, water pressure, or any other plumbing issues. Room was clean and bright, sheets clean, beds comfy. I only wish that there was a mini-fridge in the room (staff allowed me to keep my daughters snacks and drinks in the kitchen fridge downstairs). AC was there, but we did not use it. Elevator worked fine. It can get a big noisy, as you can actually hear other room doors and elevator doors opening and closing, and we were also woken up by garbage collection in the morning (on the street), but in general we slept fine. Breakfast was sufficient, something for everyone: ham, cheese, boiled eggs, jams and honey, pastries, bread, cereal, apples... Check-out is at 10, but we were allowed to stay till 11:30, which was really nice of hotel management. One serious minus is the internet. It is only available in the lobby. We knew this, so we made the reservation knowing this (it is clearly stated on hotel's website), but I think that investing a bit into a in-room wi-fi would be a huge plus for this hotel. In general we were very happy with our stay. It was nothing luxurious, but it was perfectly good, and fair priced. Do keep in mind that this hotel does not allow check ins after 9pm, and they will not make arrangements for key drop of similar. So, if your travel hours are off, make sure to check with them before reserving.

Came upon this hotel by chance, what a find. Staff were very welcoming. Rooms very spacious and clean. Right in the centre of a thriving 'Old Town' and managed to park right outside. Breakfast was in a small but attractive room with excellent service.

This hotel had very friendly staff, the room was clean and quite large. The breakfast was ok we had better at other hotels in Italy. The hotel is about a 7-10 minute walk to the castle and the cathedral. Also about a 20 minute walk to the beautiful and relaxing park. We stayed 2 nights and we would go back to this hotel!

Last two tours our group filled up this wonderful hotel and we plan to return. Felt well taken care of by the friendly staff. Enjoyed time relaxing in the garden area or breakfast nook (some of us went to a fun bar around the corner). It feels like a sweet, stylish boutique hotel (rather than a big, corporate, overly packaged place). It’s perfectly situated in the heart of Ferrara, only a short walk to the Cathedral (and museum next door), and impressive Castle and other key spots while also being on a quiet street (at night). Most rooms have a private WC inside the closed quarters. But a couple rooms have private WC (with key) but just outside guest's room. So if that's an important issue, confirm with staff beforehand. They were very nice and accommodating. This town is not yet inundated with tourists but has enough and feels open and friendly. Lots of people on bikes and on foot. The only hotel we ever want to stay when we visit this area is this one.

A great location in a lovely town. Easy walking distance to everything. Rooms are spotless and service excellent. Breakfast was ok but fresh fruit would be welcome and the yogurts should be kept on ice to keep cool as they were warm.

Like another visitor we showed up without reservations and got a warm welcome, clean rooms and a very central location. They have recently reopened after a general refurbishment. Only the breakfast left something to be desired - fresh cornetti and fresh fruit would have been nicer than cakes in plastic packets.

We stumbled on this hotel arriving in town without a booking and were delighted. Friendly staff, clean unpretentious rooms, good coffee and easy walking distance to main attactions. My room was quiet and the bed comfortable.

the hotel is extremely noisy. we stayed for 4 days and i didn't have one uninterrupted night of sleep. I woke up from people talking or locking/unlocking doors 3 to 4 times a night. every time someone locked or unlocked a room it echoed through the hotel and through the walls. unless you get a double room the bathroom its outside the room. so you have to go out of the room, lock it, unlock your bathroom and then everything in reverse... the bathroom its still private so no sharing but it is very annoying. the hotel had dust lumps in the corridor and the stair case for the whole 4 night of our stay... even some blood stains on the stairs... which made us believe the stair and the corridors where never cleaned during our stay (as well as not seeing anyone cleaning them). i don't dare immagine how they clean the rooms but they seemed ok while we were there. the staff is very nice and friendly but the owner of the place is rude and doesn't put customer satisfaction at the top of his list. given the level of cleanliness i would love to know what he does put on the top of his list... i would not recommend this place to anyone although its in a perfect location in ferrara. I would prefer walking 5-10 mins longer and not being upset for the whole time of my stay.
