This hotel comes with few surprises, which is meant in a good way. The rooms are standard, clean, and functional. My room faced the castle, was a bit tight, but more than adequate for a business trip. With double pane windows and a location well off the main drag, i was able to sleep well (bed was stiff). The Wifi... More

My wife and I arrived at Hotel Ferrara early and were given our room at 10am which was greatly appreciated. We had a prepaid Junior suite which gives a direct view of the castle and a bath. The view was great but the bath with spa functions had only a hand held shower with no curtain. This is quite ridiculous as all standard... I just checked out from hotel Ferrara after a 12 night stay. The front desk was most helpful and attentive, providing me with the largest of their single rooms since I was there for 12 nights. The A/C worked well, and I was not disturbed by the loud music festival going on just outside. The wi-fi was slow, but it... More

Hotel is small and located in the city centre. This is really the best location in Ferrara. You can see the castle from the Windows ;). Room was clean, rather small, the bathroom was modern, clean, with shower. Breakfast OK, nothing special. Price reasonable.

Location! Location! Location! Great hotel in a fantastic location. Just outside our window was a fabulous castle - The Castello Estense or castello di San Michele (‘St. Michael's castle’). It's incredible they actually have a moated medieval castle in the center of Ferrara.. We actually had a great view from our hotel room. Great amenities in the room and bathroom.... More

This small hotel is located in the best location in Ferrara, just in front of the castle. So it is within a walking distance to any place in the center. Rooms vary in size and view. Overall they are spacious and clean with a bathroom (shower). Breakfast is OK for Italy. Reasonable prices, better to book in advance.

Before I started to write the review I went through other reviews, that I normally do not do. The reason for that was that I have had very mixed feelings. I've stayed 2 nights. The first one was in a small room, almost on corridor, that whole night I was hearing what's going on in one of another room as... More

A great little boutique hotel in a great location close to Castle Estense. Spacious rooms and good modern bathrooms. Great spaces to sit and have a drink or a coffee. Breakfast has lots of choices including the ability to make toast. Attentive staff and the free bike hire is fantastic. Only downside the beds were a little hard.

Good location (adjacent to the castle) but if you're there with a car, note that there's no parking in the hotel, so you need to find a spot on the streets surrounding the hotel, which means a few minutes walking at least. The reception staff wasn't very willing to help in changing a room upon arrival. Breakfast was good. Overall,... More

Most of the money has been spent on the lobby as the rooms themselves were very small and basic. Found the staff very unhelpful, we were there for a wedding and needed an iron, the staff simply said it is not possible and were very dismissive.

Dear Mr. .. unfortunately (for you), I was at the reception at time. You have been correctly informed that Italian law does not allow hotel guests to bring the iron into the room. I called, in your presence, the housekeeper who came into your room and took your dress (very very wrinkled )and has perfectly ironed. Just finished, reported the... More
