Ferrara is a must go to place in northern Italy. We only spent two nights and wish it could have been much longer. The Alchimia is a lovely spot and we only had a couple of issues worth mentioning. The wifi in our room was very spotty, to say the least. And, ask for a room in the rear -... More

We were here for a week and found it a wonderful place to stay. It is a short walk to the center of town, but quiet and peaceful near the hotel. The rooms are comfortable, with good showers. A newly built breakfast room is bright and sunny, and the breakfasts are quite good, much more than the usual roll and... More

An ancient house dated 1468 welcomes the guests. The house has also a garden and a veranda where to have breakfast. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious and extremely clean. Breakfast is lovely and carefully home made with healthy food. Car park is available and pets are allowed without further charges. Pick up from the railway station upon request. The... More

The host Euro is really on the ball. The rooms are immaculate and modern. Once you see Ferrara it is clear that the parking at Alchimia is a great benefit. The walk to town is just a few minutes. The breakfast is very well presented and varied. However traditional boiled egg lovers will also find this essential item on offer.... More

We were due to arrive in Ferrara around lunchtime so I contacted Euro to explore our options. Not only did he collect us from the station but we were also given access to our room. Clearly one cannot depend on that option always being available but the main point is that they really try hard! The place is really nice... More

The B&B is confidently located near the centre of Ferrara on a quiet street. There is private parking in the courtyard at the back and the rooms are of a high standard, with original features and new fittings! Very clean! If you like cats you will love it here as the owner has 5 including one who tried to stow... More

Stunning, hidden in a street ten minutes walk from the centre, this converted palazzo is simply stunning. You enter the side gate to park the car in the rear courtyard. The lobby is old and decorated with the works of local painters. Despite its age, all of it is very modern. The rooms are high quality in the finishes. Top... More

This R & B was a really nice surprise from the very beginning: Euro, the host, offers a free shuttle to and from the Central Railway Station and guides you to the most attractive places - in terms of visits, restaurants, things to do - from Ferrara. The rooms were very neat & clean, the furniture and the whole conception... More

Euro and his family were perfect hosts, picking us up from the train station and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was great with homemade goodies and good coffee. Terrific ambiance and quiet. And Ferrara is the prettiest and charming town I've been to in Italy.

Hotel Alchimia is within the historic city but close to the border rather than the center. This is compensated by a private parking and a nice garden where a delicious breakfast is served. We were a little bit worried about diner after a tiring day but as we turned right and right again into via Palestro we found a number... More
