We were looking at a number of hotels available in Ferrara and we are absolutely confident we made the best choice. As traveling with a baby demands easy access and certain flexibility the Hotel Nazionale really came trough. The rooms are really chick and fashionable. The cot was waiting in the room. They give you a magnetic key for the... More

In the very center of Ferrara, one of the most beautiful cities of Italy, even if not so renowned as Venice or Florence, close to the most interesting and historical places: the castle, the dome, the synagogue and to great restaurants and trattorias. It's of course in an historical building - this is no surprise in Italy - but throughly... More

Very nice hotel with an unusual level of attention to detail. We booked with the hotel directly, and had a good experience the whole way through - reservation - reception and the actual stay. The room was spot less and very nicely decorated. It's a hotel but still have a personal touch there - very pleasant. We asked for a... More

We stayed at the Nazionale for 3 nights in September. The modern interior in an old building was delightful. Each room is named for a city in Italy. We were in Firenze which was spotlessly clean, spacious, new bathroom and had a full size picture of David !!! The breakfast room was set up very nicely with help there for... More

Loved the decor of this modern hotel. We stayed in the Pisa room which had a nice seating area. Do not open a window at night though as this room is at the front a can be noisy especially when stating up the market stalls Monday morning . The hotel is right in the centre of town close to every... More

In short: this is a well run hotel at the centre of Ferrara with interesting rooms and OK breakfast. Good value for money. In more detail, this is a small hotel in the historic centre of Ferrara, no more than 30m away from the Cathedral. This is the pedestrian zone of the city, so access with a car is limited... More

Superb hotel in the city center,2 minutes walk from Duomo.Design of the hotel is very interesting,we had a red french bed in our room and white cosy sofa in the corridor so it all gave a romantic charm to the hotel. In the bathroom was a shower with different colours light. Breakfast was also of a good quality.Dream to return here... More

My wife and I rented a car from Venice and were in the process of touring Italy while heading to Bologna when our car broke down. The rental company "Hertz" was very unhelpful with this dilemma they were responsible for. However, that broken down car led us to this exquisite hotel. After getting towed off the highway to a repair... More

A last-minute change in plans led us to this nice little hotel, based on positive reviews on TA. It lived up to the reviews in that it was clean, our room was spacious, and very well located. A wonderful restaurant is located a couple of doors down, called Cusina et Bodega. Great gelateria a few more doors down called Cremeria...... More
