Having first been to Fano in 1997 on a school exchange it is easy to say I know the town well but I have never come across this Hotel, I wish I had sooner.....Its is the fourth time my family have been to Fano and we usually use AirBnb but not any more!! For every visit we now make until we move to the town we will be using Hotel Agustus, it is flawless in its service and the staff are second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and the assistance was fantastic along with its simple location and stunning views of the canal from our room(s). If only more hotels could be run this was then then the hospitality industry would be perfect.

My husband and I have just spent the most fabulous week in the Hotel Continental, Fano. It's a wonderful mid sized hotel in a perfect location for the beach and extremely close (walkable - with sensible luggage) from Fano train station. What makes this hotel is the staff and their service. They went out of their way to make our stay special (we both had birthdays). Despite our very embarrassing lack of Italian language - the staff were very sweet and conversed with us in English and gave us lots of advice about the locality. The breakfast was buffet style with a good selection for all tastes - the historic part of Fano was beautiful so we tried out a few great restaurants and had one evening meal in the hotel - a great selection of local produce was on offer and we enjoyed trying out things we hadn't experienced before. We cannot fault this hotel and it's amazing staff. Absolutely loved it. Thank you everyone.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Continental. The hotel dates from the 60's as others have observed, but our room had been updated and the bathroom was good quality and looked spotless, as did the room. It is not a deluxe hotel, but out of season - we were there in April, - and in nice weather, it was a great place to stay and the price was attractive. The beach is just in front and there is a wide choice of places to eat within easy walking distance. The hotel staff were friendly and this remains a family run place, with a similar family friendly atmosphere.

As I had to be in the Ospedale San Croce for work, I booked a room for three nights in Hotel Continental. This hotel is very basic, but also very much OK. The reception is friendly, the hotel was build somewhere end of the sixties but has been sufficiently renovated. Some details, however, remind of the sixties: the elevator, the room decoration and lighting, the blue tiles and sanitary equipment in the bathroom. But everything is very well maintained, super clean, walls got repainted, corridors are entirely re-done. I had a single person bed room, and I must admit the bed was quite small. But travelling alone, I ididn't see that as a problem. The elevator is another story. I'm not a fan of elevators, certainly not when they have a construction date earlier than my date of birth :-) Although the entire hotel was really crisp and clean, nobody bothered about the elevator apparentely: dim neon light in a broken encasing, sixties dark blue walls scratched with graffity, and above all not leveling in a proper way, which, to me, is a sign for a lack of good maintenance. It needs an update. The hotel has its own parking space, but don't bother putting your car there: it's always full, with cars even parked in double rows. No problem, however, while there's in general enough parking space on the streets nearby. The breakfast was OK. Not a very big choice, but OK to me. The hotel also serves diner. They don't have meals 'à la carte' but give you the choice between two starters, two mains, two deserts and fruit. It all looks a bit like a childrens holiday camp, but the cooking is actually very good! And the price of it (you get a three course meal after all) is very modest. About the rest of the hotel facilities: don't be fooled by some pictures appearing on the internet, where they show a swimming pool in front of the hotel: this swimming pool is not connected to the hotel, and has nothing to do with it. It's a pool, which you can access though, when paying. But the hotel itself has no pool, let that be clear. The hotel has no Wifi, nor any other internet connection, but I must confess I just surfed along a non-protected Wifi connection from one of the hotels neighbours, in order to save on my own 3G data limit :-) As a conclusion I would say: this is a no-nonsense hotel, ideal for people on a short business trip in Fano, and for tourists that want a hotel with an excellent price/quality ratio. It's unlikely I will ever go to Fano again, but in case I would, I would certainly take this hotel again: no frills, clean, friendly, excellent price/quality ratio.
