Just returned from a week at the Miramonte having stayed there last year and enjoyed it so much. The hotel is a veritable icon in terms of its architecture, space and style, albeit a little frayed at the edges, but this adds to the wonderful charm and personality that are so often lacking in the big chain "luxury" hotels. If... More

I am right now finishing up 2 month my European winter tour. We did 10 different locations in and around the Alps and had a lot of fun and some good skiing and some great exploring. We stayed at a whole bunch of hotels and ate at some great places, and some not so great. Cortina is a strange kind... More

This hotel is situated in a brethtaking location. I spent there a few days with my daughters. We were all more than happy. Staff is helpful and courteous. Classic mountain cottage ambieance by all means. Above all stand the restaurant: all remarkable from the Maitre and the waiters, to the grand salon and last but not least the food quality... More

We have just returned from a week in Cortina. The Miramonti is about 2km out of town and looks spectacular from the outside, especially in the snow. Our corner room was very large and comfortable but the bathroom too cramped with toilet almost touching the bath. It is a hassle getting to the slopes to ski. Take the shuttle bus... More

Just back from a week in Cortina and stayed at the Miramonti. Fantastic service, hospitality and overall ambience. Although a bit dated it has been brought up to date and still retains the atmosphere of past years. Waiters truly helpful and attentive as were all the staff. Large selection on the buffet for both breakfast and dinner, plus alternatives. We... More

This hotel is beautiful, older but very charming. The entire hotel has twinkle lights from each window, which is also a balcony. The windows each have shutters which can be opened for fresh air and two inner doors to keep the warmth in or out. Very, very charming. A short ride from the city center of Cortina and the slopes... We stayed for Christmas at Miramonte hotel Cortina d Ampezzo, maybe the most aristocratic hotel I 've ever been apart from Claridges Hotel in London. We really enjoyed the hospitality, kindness, taste and environment of a great and historical hotel that deserves to be among the top hotels of the world.Minor restorations maybe needed and probably offer to the general idea of the hotel,nevertheless... I have never been charged for ice! At this hotel it comes with a charge of Euro 12. To use the swimming pool is Euro 3. It goes on and on. A suite for 2 people cost Euro 1300 including half board. Dinner was awful.....breakfast OK. View spectacular. Had no hot water until calling down, DVD did not work, bath... More

We had a wonderful and very restful week at the Miramonti. The waiting staff were marvellous, the food of excellent quality and it actually snowed while we were there which turned the entire place into a wonderland. I do however have a couple of things which I think need to be pointed out to future guests. The evening meal was... More

The Miramonti is a beautiful, old fashioned hotel and of huge proportions, reminiscent in the winter landscape of the fictional ‘Overlook Hotel’, (Timberline Lodge) as featured in the film, ‘The Shining’, but don’t let that put you off! The public areas and corridors are large and lavish. On turning a corner in a corridor, you could almost expect to see... More
