Stayed here for 5 nights, jr suite was okay, but constant tour groups made stay unpleasant. The elevators were packed every morning with luggage so one needed to take stairs. Breakfast was okay, but loud and very busy from tour groups. I would definitely never stay in this hotel again- entire focus is on tour groups.

Stayed one night with a tour group passing through Cortina, a picturesque Italian ski town nestled firmly amid the Dolomite mountains. Located in the center of town and across a piazza from the local parish church dedicated to St James & St Philip, we very much enjoyed exploring the nooks and crannies of the narrow streets and alleyways surrounding the... I have stayed several times at the Hotel Ancora. It is a family owned and operated hotel. The rooms are artistic delights, the staff is most helpful, and the food is excellent. The hotel is located in the center of the village. The hiking in Cortina is excellent. There are many fine shops.

The Hotel Ancora is centrally located with wonderful access to town and the surrounding villages. The staff is quite friendly and very warm and the food is delicious. The spread at breakfast is quite nice and the rooms are very accommodating with comfortable beds and warm duvets.

Since June isn't the "season" most everything in town was closed. Our room 28 had a small view of the mountain, balcony, two full bathrooms with jacuzzi tub and shower, a sitting area with a sofa, chair, table, flat sceen TV, and desk area with chair. Adjacent to the sitting area was the queen size bed, chest of drawers and... More

We stayed for two days on an Insight tour. The hotel is right in the centre of cortina. The hotel is rustic but clean. The hotel owner and all the employees we encountered are genuinely helpful and courteous. We got the impression that they are sincerely value their customers. It is hard to find services like this these days. The... More

Our ski club spent 6 days with Flavia and her staff. They where accommodating, entertaining and ensured we had a fabulous time. The rooms were clean, comfortable and our dinners were a hit every night and topic of conversation each day. Centrally located in Cortina, we either walked up a short hill to the lift or took a bus to... More

This hotel really is in an ideal location in Cortina’s pedestrianised centre making everything within comfortable walking distance and the dolomites in the background. Although it isn’t that far from the ski lift it is uphill and may be daunting for some. The rooms were clean and the staff pleasant. Breakfast is served buffet style and unfortunately the bacon and... More

We had just the best week at the Hotel Ancora. The staff were wonderfully helpful, the meals just the best (get to know Antonio, the Maitre'D if you wish anything special) and Flavia, the owner and hostess is just the most charming person. The rooms were large, the beds comfortable (and if you wish a double, it's not like the... More

Just leaving an incredible week with the my ski group. Lovely hotel and classic old world beauty with modern amenities. Each room has a view and most with balconies. Incredible food. Rivals any top restaurant. 5 star. Situated in a prime location in the village. Access to shops, ski lifts, and restaurants. Attentive great staff. If you are visiting Cortina... More
