Villa Gaia is an amazing place in Cortina d'Ampezzo. I am so sad I can't remember the name of our host, very nice man and the whole staff is just amazing. The lady who owns the place bakes treats for breakfast. The place is so clean, cozy and welcoming. Short walk to the city center and amazing view. Perfect place... More

Hotel Villa Gaia is a lovely, comfortable, authentic place to stay. Located just a bit outside the centre of Cortina d'Ampezzo, but it is just a short walk into town. Our room had a fantastic view: mountains and meadows in front, Cortina on the side. The staff went out of their way to make us enjoy our stay at their... More

Villa Gaia is a great base for traveling in this area of the Dolomites. The staff is extremely nice, room is small but nicely decorated, views of the mountains are superb, and the breakfast was on of the richest we have had in European hotels of this type. Overall we enjoyed our stay here very much and would happily come... More

The hotel is situated about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Cortina, so is quite quiet at night. It's a traditional-style building, with lots of wood, and I had great views of the mountains from the balcony. There was plenty of parking available, and check in and service was friendly and efficient. I also enjoyed the breakfast, which had... More

We found the hotel OK. Room was very clean and well equipped. The hotel is well maintained and cared. Upon arrival we were checked into a room facing next door house. It seemed to us that the hotel is not busy so we asked to be moved into a room facing the view. Our request was positively responded. Breakfast room... More

Situated about 10 mins walk south of the centre of Cortina, and far enough off the main road for traffic noise not to be too worrying. A traditional chalet style guesthouse which provides clean and good value small rooms without many frills. Caters mainly for walkers and ski-ers who rise early and will be out & about most of the... Greatly located, just a nice stroll to Viale Dell Corso which is fantastic before and after an Italian dinner :) Family run little Alpine hotel with nice decor and cosy atmosphere. Totally the best value for being in Cortina!

Family run hotel. Very friendly, helpful staff Good breakfast - sweet and savory. Good size room. Fantastic view of the Dolomites from room and breakfast room. Car parking available. 10 minute to centre of village. Sturcture of building is timber and sound proof can be a problem at times..

We stayed for 3 nights in late May and found it a very enjoyable experience. We had booked a triple room but were delighted to find we were given a 2-bed apartment at the rear of the building. We even had a balcony. The views from our rooms were wonderful! The 2nd room was narrow with bunk-beds but the mattress... More

We stayed 3 nights mid May and enjoyed it immensely. The location allowed for uninterrupted views across beautiful green pastures to the Tofane and other mountains. We were given room 55, which was at the rear top floor, with a balcony which also wrapped around the side, allowing a view in the other direction. The room was spacious, very comfortable... More
