We stayed on the last night of our (short) three night trek on via alta1. We had a very nice stay - the staff were friendly and the food was perfect. The views are breathtaking and accessible via cable car for those not inclined to hike over mountain passes.

Lovely spot for a night on our 4 day walk in the Dolomites. Beautiful views - decks to enjoy the afternoon sun. Accommodation very comfortable and food fantastic. Would highly recommend - cows with bells surround the valley.

We went hiking in the Dolomites for two weeks in July and a highlight of the trip was staying at Rifugio Lagazuoi. Staying overnight at a rifugio was new to all of us and this was a wonderful experience. We reserved a private room upstairs, instead of the dormitory below, and it was well worth it. Cozy, warm bedding, fabulous... More

We had a pleasant stay at Rifugio Lagazuoi while doing the Alta Via 1. This rifugio had the best view of all the places we stayed, that's why I rate it quite highly. However, the hut itself is a little bit worn down, and not half as charming as many of the others. The food and the staff was okay.... More

Depending on your route to Rifugio Lagazuoi, it could be a very difficult day! Fortunately, there is a full bar and delightful staff to make you a negroni (no ice, but HECK! you're almost camping!) or beer or whatever. Dinners are grouped by nationality (English speakers together). Electricity available in the private rooms. 3.50 euros for a 3 minute hot... More

We hiked to Rifugio Lagazuoi from Lavarella (right by Rifugio Fanes). It was quite a climb, especially at the end, but the views from the top were so rewarding! We came up the opposite side of the mountain from the gondola, which was nice because we couldn't see it as we climbed. The last gondola leaves at 17:00, so after... More

I recently stayed at Rif Lagazoui and I can't rate the place high enough. I was away with my dad doing a trek when, because of the heat he found himself in a bit of trouble, to which the owner, went out of his way and helped him off the trek back to the rifugio . Apart from that the... More

Very friendly staff, good rustic Italian food, fantastic winelist. Nice sauna with a great view. The location i fantastic, if you love the alps and moutians this is the place! The only thing that disturbed me was that It was sensitively between the corridor and the rooms. But since the rest was great I can live with that.

I wish I would have skied but I went up to the chalet just for lunch. There's nothing like eating venison, mushrooms, polenta and a cold beer up 2750 meters in the Italian Alps. Food was quite expensive but it was so good. The view well.... 2 words. Absolutely breathtaking!

Great place, in the fantastic Dolomites. We stayed for two nights, good rustic Italian food and very nice winelist. We lived in a two bedrum and it was cosy but alittle bit sensitively. We'll be back to try it in the summer. Try the nice sauna with great view!!
