My husband and I recently returned from a visit to Grand Hotel Savoia in Cortina. The rooms were lovely and plenty of space to unpack all the ski gear. A beautiful pool and spa area were located within the hotel. Ski rental and boot dryers were located at the basement of the hotel with easy access to the lifts (no... More

Read through some previous reviews prior to making my reservation and had my expectations somewhat moderated. Was positively surprised upon arrival, service was warm and welcoming, hotel felt clean and modern and elegant (of course less charming in a way than an old wooden alpine cottage, but that should be clear already from prictures). Ski rental in the basement with... More

I loved staying there and the service was what I expected. The hotel itself is beautiful, with amazing views and great services. Also very well located in the centre of Cortina D'Ampezzo. The spa was very useful, with very good professionals.

A lovely luxirious hotel.Welcome starts from the reception with smiling faces. Rooms are well illuminated and large. Wellness center is perfect and well equiped. Location of the hotel is the best.. It is in the center of Cortina and close to everything. After skiing to sit in the winttergarden and sip your drink is another fiest. The breakfast is OK... More

The hotel is quite modern and has a decent spa. The room was small and there was no bath which after a day's skiing was sorely missed. The ski room and rental area is very convenient And the ski bus is not too badly priced but a shuttle should be offered free in a 5 star hotel. Staff are very... More

Dear Mrs Thomas we receive your review and we hope to have the opportunity to make you fully appreciate our services in the future. We are always at disposal to satisfy our guests needs: we have different types of mattress and also softer mattress and just ask is the best way to be satisfied. The same for the breakfast: many... Overall this hotel was reasonably good but I felt it was extremely overpriced. The rooms were very clean and modern but very noisy at night time as you could hear every movement in the corridor. The beds when separated into singles were incredibly small and not very comfortable. The position of the hotel is good, very close to the shopping... More

We stayed 6 nights in 2 deluxe rooms hotel is located in a great position and feels brand new. Breakfast was average, service and staff were good. For a hotel in the snow it misses the feeling of the winter hotel particularly in the bar area where even a gas fire would add to the ambiance. It's like a corporate... More

It was the 2nd year we went to Cortina for ski holidays and wanted to have a great break. It was wrong to book Savoia and it is nowhere close to 5 star hotel and definitely not worth the price you pay: - the check in time is 2 pm, however 1 of 2 rooms was not ready and the... More

This is more like a 3 star business hotel near an airport than a luxury hotel in the Dolomites. Rooms are very pretty, but the beds are extremely hard mattresses that sit upon very cheap looking platforms. Sleeping was so uncomfortable that we left a day early despite still having to pay for the night we skipped. The bed linens... More

There is nothing inherently wrong with this hotel per se, just be prepared for a 3 star experience at exorbitant Cortina 5 star prices. The lobby and bar are spotless but very cold - you almost feel you're in an airport lounge; it's tough for me to fall in love with a Dolomite hotel that lacks a cozy, warm fireplace... More
