The family-run Hotel Impero provides for a wonderul base for skiing the Dolomites. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the Corso Italia and Piazza Roma, making it really convenient for enjoying the town and for getting to the slopes. The Ghedinas are wonderful hosts - always welcoming and friendly and incredibly helpful. The clean, comfortable rooms have lovely... More

Stayed only one night. the place had all I needed: hot shower, fast internet and a nice bed. the man at the reception gave me many helpful tips and helped me plan the next day's trip. breakfast was OK. to sum it up - a very good value for money.

The staff here are excellent, they speak reall good English and gave us great advice both about hikes and about where to eat. There's a bar that's open late that's very inexpensive and the breakfast has everything you need and hot food can be ordered for a nominal fee. The hotel is on the main street but the noise is... No complaints really. Service at checking was excellent with a helpful guide who pointed out what to see and do in the town. Excellent restaurant recommendation. OK continental breakfast although the tinned meat and processes cheese was a joke!

This hotel has been run by the same family since 1938. The brother and sister who run the place speak excellent English and gave us great advice both about hikes and about food. Unlike many other places they're not out to extract every last euro from you; for example, at breakfast, if you want to order food beyond the standard... More

The hotel in general is weak, rooms was comfortable but the bed wasn't at all. Rooms are noisy because of the main street. But the owners are so nice, so helpful you can forget everything about the negative things about the hotel. They really gave very goods advice and they were very nice to chat. Location also very good you... More

Great location. Clean. Extremely helpful and friendly front desk. Very nice ambience. I'm sure it's a great location for the ski season, whether you ski or just party - no snow in town as of Nov.17/11.

Piero Ghedina and his Mother were very Gracious hosts. They have a garage for your Motorcycle and a cold beer waitng for you. The rooms are big, comfy, and modern. Ask Piero for directions to a great restaurant you will not be disappointed. The decor is beautiful in the lobby and lounge/breakfast room. Breakfast was a typical Italian fare. I... More

I took a group of 15 people to ski Cortina from a Corporate Ski Club in Sweden. Having received quotes from about 20 hotels in Cortina, Impero came in with the best price. From the first point of contact the entire process was extremely simple, despite having complicated room requests as the group didn't know each other, I found Louisa... More
