I was trying to decide where to stay for one night after a cruise in September, and I was checking hotels in both Civitavecchia and Fiumicino. I was taken with Hotel San Giorgio after reading about it, but had decided that I needed to book a room in Fiumicino instead due to a fairly early flight out the next morning.... More

Very nice hotel in a good area. Very close to the cruise ship port with a shuttle to take you there. Hotel was built in the late 18th century and is very nicely modern. Small but cozy rooms. In house restaurant is very good but, a little pricey. Very much enjoyed the stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Felt very... More

We stayed at Hotel San Giorgio one night before a cruise with MSC Splendida, and also we booked the hotel because of its proximity to the cruise port. Many thanks to Mette at the front desk who took care of our transportation from the airport to the hotel, next day to the cruise terminal and back to the airport after... More

Very much enjoyed staying at Hotel San Giorgio, Its a beautiful Hotel, The staff go out of their way to help you and are very friendly. The room we stayed in was cozy and we could see the ocean from our window. They have a shuttle that will pick you up from the airport in Roma and if you are... More

Like many guests, I booked into this hotel because of its proximity to the Rome cruise port. The welcome was warm, the room comfortable, the view from the breakfast area on the roof fabulous. I believe it's a family run hotel, and that normally rings alarm bells with me. However, they did everything right. I had a pleasant, affordable meal... More

The hotel is located right on the main street across from the Mediterranean. It is literally a five minute walk to the train station. The main street it is located on- has a huge variety of food options, bars and gelato shops! The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous and the rooms were clean and very pretty with artwork of old... We had the worst flight getting to Rome, delay after delay. But, special thanks to Mette, and the staff, who bent over backwards to change the time of our shuttle to the hotel. The restaurant for lunch and dinner was delightful. If you love fish, this is the place for you! We were never rushed and enjoyed the gracious multi... More

This hotel reminded us of seaside hotels from a bygone era. The hotel itself is beautifully presented, particularly the public rooms. The bedrooms are fairly basic, but comfortable (not really the best design - small TV upstairs in the bedroom - sofa downstairs with no TV). Breakfast is very well done - a lovely spread with very helpful, pleasant staff.... More
