We just stayed, for the third time, at Il Patriarca. A stay here always leaves a pleasant taste which lingers for weeks. The place itself is superb, the service very friendly. As a special touch, when you get to your room, you'll find a bag of pasta produced by the family which owns the hotel. This time we found out... More

We only stay at 5 star resorts and have travelled everywhere. We stayed at Il Patriarca for 4 days/3 nights after a few hectic days in Rome. It felt like a week with the top of the line amenities, service, food, thoughtful hard working staff that take so much pride in what they do. The surroundings are breath taking. You... More

From the moment you drive up to the entrance Villa Il Patriarca impresses. We were greeted by Luigi who was wonderful and extremely helpful throughout our stay. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The grounds of the hotel offer views to die for, or as we did... More

The villa's restaurant, the Patriarch, is the best you could ask for, a comfortable place that blends perfectly the Tuscan cuisine with delicious innovations to say the least, the environment in which we had lunch was very private and very well decorated, the staff prepared He is very kind and attentive to every need. The food is amazing, very tasty... More

Location of the hotel is great for access to Montepulciano (excellent small, entertaining city) but I cannot recommended the hotel itself or either restaurant. The setting, on the outskirts of Chiusi is good and the grounds nice, but the hotel is way less than special. They upgraded us gratis to the Fellini suite and it was unimpressive. Plastic cups in... Next to the highway, properly kept place, clean, friendly people. In any event good for a night on your way up or down Italy. What made us appreciate it even more was the dinner we had. The starred restaurant was kept by a busload of tourists, so we went to the taverna, and there we really got exceptionally good food,... More

We didn't stay in the suite of former Italian director Fellini but that named after his wife, Giulietta Masina (even nicer given that this suite boasts a canopy bed!), a real treat! This beautiful villa is situated only 2 minutes drive from the highway A1-exit "Chiusi", from here you can easily reach many important destinations in Umbria and Tuscany. The... More

Just come back from a nuce break in tuscany. The rooms are nice and clean, bathroom in the room needs some refresh. Breakfast was very Italian with a poor selection of savory food(bacon, eggs, etccc), dinner at the Taverna was excellent. The staff was very gentle and nice. Luigi and lina were very hospitable. There is a nice room with... More

This incredible hotel tops our list of favorites! If there were a hundred hotels in the area, I suspect this would still be the #1 hotel in Chiusi, without a doubt. The setting is incredible whether you simply enjoy the elegant rooms, the comfortable lobby and charming dining areas or linger by the pool. Its hard for me to believe... More

I have just spent 5 days in Il Patriarca on a return visit, as I enjoyed it so much the first time I visited a few years ago, I couldn't contemplate a return trip to Italy without staying there. This beautiful hotel set in a wonderful tuscan backdrop of cyprus trees, park-like grounds, and farmland and rolling hills in the... More
