We had two nights at this hotel and couldn't fault it. With only nine rooms it was always quiet but the service offered was fantastic. The menu was small but they varied it the second night and the food was delicious. The bedroom and bathroom was finished to a very high standard. The views are just breathtaking, sitting on their... We spent 5 nights at Poggio Piglia in July and had a wonderful time. Service: the staff was amazing. We were welcomed with such kindness and professionalism that we felt at home right away. Luca who is doing the service at breakfast and dinner is so very nice and helpful. Salvatore, the chef, shows that he loves his job, and... More

We stayed at Poggio Piglia for 3 nights during our honeymoon. We took the train in from Florence and took a taxi to the hotel, it was extremely easy. Paolo was very helpful with arranging a rental car for our trip along with restaurant and excursion recommendations. During our stay we did day trips to Cortona, Montepulciano and Perugia. The... If you want a base to visit the charming towns of Southern Tuscany and relax in style this is for you...Tucked away off the main road but actually only a few minutes from the A1 the location is terrific. Having been to Tuscany before and staying in a great spot we came here a little apprehensive that it might not... More

I stayed at this hotel for one night with my husband during a driving trip in Tuscany and we were very impressed! You arrive at the hotel down a long tree lined track which opens up to reveal the house - it is not huge, but it is absolutely beautiful. The ground of the hotel are very well kept and... More

This was our 2nd return trip back through Tuscany after a few years and having had a night to spare and passing through Chiusi, we did not give it another thought but to stay again at this tucked away resort. We were delighted to rest after a long afternoon walking and visiting Siena and sit by the pool, then to... More

Where to start? Location.... while a bit hard to find initially based on website instructions we did finally find it. It was an amazing little boutique hotel nestled in the Tuscan countryside and located within an hour and a half from Florence, Sienna, and a train ride to Rome. As an American I always have to remind myself that European... More

We recently had an event at Poggio Piglia, and it turned out just fantastic! The place and the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful only trumped by the welcoming, serviceminded, and all together great staff. The attention to detail was extraordinary, and all the help we got really made our stay perfect. The restaurant is great, offering local Tuscan specialities. I highly... More

We spent 2 weeks traveling through Italy in October and spent 3 of those nights at Poggio Piglia. The grounds are beautiful and since we rented out the private house, we were able to sit outside at night and just overlook the pool while drinking wine. The location was very easy for us to day drip to Montepulciano and Siena.... More

My husband and I recently spent 4 nights at this beautiful estate during our honeymoon in Italy. The location is perfect: stone's throw from the train station and convenient for day trips to Montepulciano, Siena and Cortona. Paolo, the manager, was extremely attentive and gave us the best tips for where to visit, restaurants to book and so much more.... More
