We recently stayed at this hotel on our guided tour of Tuscany. The staff could not have been more helpful or pleasant. Breakfast was perfectly acceptable and for dinner you had varied choices of freshly cooked food. Superb swimming pool on the roof which is a very peaceful and clean area. Early breakfasts before tours organised for us. The hotel... More

We stayed at the Ambasciatori for seven nights in June on our Omega "Treasures of Tuscany" holiday. The hotel is in the modern part of Chianciano Terme along with many other hotels, many of which are closed down or barely occupied. Apparently they were built during the 1970's when spa towns flourished but now struggle to make a living. Our... More

Stayed a week in this beautiful hotel. Spotlessly clean and lovely room with balcony. The food was not good and the portions were very small. Staff were fine but not overly attentive. Beautiful rooftop pool. Our balcony was facing a busy road and sleeping could be a bit of a problem. This being said the hotel itself was beautiful and... More

the staff at this hotel is friendly and the rooms are neat and clean, each with a balcony and nice view. the lobby is a pleasant place to sit and sip a cappuccino or read a book. however, the hotel is not centrally located, and the food is, at best, mediocre.

Grand Hotel Ambasciatori was the hotel of choice on a tour. It was clean, with good beds and very good breakfast and catered meals. Best hotel food we had anywhere and better than many restaurants. Staff was helpful and friendly. The bar served very good wine at 3 euros a glass. Best deal in Italy other than getting your own... More

This hotel has seen better days; however, they were renovating portions of it during our stay. After a rough start the first night with noise and a heater that didn't seem to be able to be turned off, the remaining six days were quite pleasant after a change of rooms. The new room was a little worn and did not... More

Great location but disadvatage that the tour bus has to drop/pickup about 3 blocks away... Rooms were adequate but the hotel needs some updating. A huge lump in the hallway left me wondering what was beneath it and a bathroom that flooded when you took a shower. Good breakfasts, nice public areas and pleasant staff.

This is the place to explore Tuscany. The Grand Hotel Ambasciatori is located in the center of Chianciano Treme, a fascinating town offering a variety of activities (many of which are just short walks away). The hotel staff is extremely friendly and definitely makes visitors feel at home. The restaurant staff made every one of our meals from breakfast to... More

Room felt very small as there was way too much furniture in it and no room to move. Fixtures and fittings were very good quality but very dated - in need of a refurb. Staff were lovely and food was also good - lots of choice at breakfast. Warning - the bath/shower arrangement was difficult to use and VERY slippery... More

Air conditioned is somewhat disingenuous since they control it centrally. Thus the rooms are close and stuffy, unless you open the window. This means, to get any air you must listen to cars, trucks, and scooters all evening long as well as sharing the room with flying insects. The shower/bath regurgitates water under the tub...obviously there's some kind of drainage... More

Dear Mr. bickus01 We are very sorry, if you've had some issues with your room and bathroom. The air conditioning has a centralized system, but from your room you can manage it independently. About your bathroom problem, once have you reported it, we immediately solved the issue, as you can remember. Regard to the size of the rooms, it was... More
