Stayed three nights with Riviera Travel. Room adequate but no air conditioning. Therefore had to leave windows wide open, thus noisy at night. Staff friendly and helpful. Restaurant good but (Square) bistro expensive. Main problem - limited eating places elsewhere in town so you are "trapped" more

A bit old-fashioned but none the worse for that. Lovely room - beds absolutely fine, plenty of wardrobe space, everything electrical worked, very clean. Location o.k. but lack of local places to eat other than for snacks. Food o.k., Bistro was good if a little expensive - try something other than steak and chips for a change. more

It was helpful to read previous reviews on this site, so we didn't go with great expectations! We went with Riviera Travel and as has already been said, there are few places to eat in the town, other than in the hotel at night. We tried the Restaurant, (23 euros for a set meal and the Bistro, 10 euros for... more

I don't know what people have to complain about at this hotel. The food was very good, the staff pleasant and helpful and the rooms were clean and adequate. more

The hotel room was horrible, with cheap metal beds which hadn't been swept under since who knows when. The bathroom was in dire need of refurbishment and the man on reception was curt and unsmiling. We had one meal there on the first night which was mediocre. Breakfast was miserly and included tinned fruit and chemical orange juice. The water... more

Had a 3-night stay, room was very poor . Decor was very shabby and air conditioning did not work efficiently if at all. Bathroom needed a complete overhaul, and the beds hard and narrow. There was a wardrobe, but not a drawer or shelf on which to put clothes, so we lived out of the suitcase. Breakfast was OK, but... more

A fairly comfortable hotel if a little dated in decor. Staff friendly & helpful. Very little choice of food, set menu in evening-very stodgy not much choice, there are virtually no restaurants in Chiannchiano, certainly none in close proximity to hotel. It seems Chiannciano is a Spa town & visitors come for the Spas & stay & eat in the... more

We stayed with friends on a touring holiday, with Riviera Holidays, for 3 days at the Grand Boston on 14th June. a well run small hotel although for anyone larger than average the single beds are too small and you are likely to wake up lying on the floor. The breakfasts, including scambled eggs and bacon were a very good... more
