The location, with beautiful views, walking distance to the village and close to all the main sites in Val D\Orcia is perfect. But the best part was getting to know Stefano and his family who are so friendly and welcoming. Stefano had a solution for every question, he helped us rent bikes and even draw us a biking map. The... More

The accommodations were very comfortable and well appointed and the personalized service friendly and efficient. We were part of a cycling tour and have to say that staying at Pietriccia was the icing on the cake! We were offered a deliciious breakfast each morning. Athough we learned that Italians typically eat biscotti or croissant with their cup of espresso in... More

I have recently returned from a one week Cycling in Tuscany experience with GAdventures, where we had the pleasure of staying at La Pietriccia for 6 nights. This place is amazing. The rooms are very comfortable and very well cleaned each day. The food is of exceptional quality and variety. For breakfast they served the best croissants I have ever... More

Just finished a spectacular week cycling around Tuscany and this gem was home base. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and quiet, with spectacular views from the west side. A few have a large terrace as well. The animals are fun to visit - pony, geese, chickens and guinea pigs, but they don't really impact upon you unless you go... More

Thank you for the comments made, and I'm glad that you appreciate the simplicity of the services offered in our modest farmhouse, we base our work on the philosophy of Slow Food, trying to keep alive the traditions of the country, and serve the meals natural products not chemically treated. ....................... all the best-Stefano More

La Pietriccia was a great start to our European vacation! The room was spacious, lovely balcony with view of Chianciano Terme old town, and the food was amazing and plentiful! The 4-course dinners are delicious, using local produce and meats where possible. We mostly interacted with Stefano's brother, Simone who was very hospitable, even when the language barrier was challenging.... More

This is the way to see Tuscany. It is a family run farm/ restaurant/ hotel. You will become one of the family. And there is a quaint old town walking distance with the best gelato shop in Italy - get the Pistachio. An amazing winery (Fontanelle) if you want to sample more than just the creations of Stefano at La... More

If you are considering staying on a real farm (not a tourist attraction but real one) - La Pietriccia should be the first choice. We got the appartements at "Poggio delle Rose" - the house just down the street - and had our breakfasts and once a dinner at La Pietriccia. The views from both our rooms and the farm... More

I stayed at La Pietriccia for four days while on a G Adventures cycling tour and had a wonderful time. The agroturismo has an excellent view of Chianciano Terme - which is only a short walk away. The view is one which our group enjoyed while recovering after a challenging day of biking by the pool or while drinking wine... More

We stayed at La Pietriccia for 5 nights. Stefano, the proprietor, is an accomplished chef and very much into the Slow Food movement. Each night we had a superb 4-course meal. Stefano and his family (parents, brother, wife, sister-in-law, and cousin) grow wine grapes, olives, fruit trees, and vegetables. We had a cooking lesson one afternoon that was fun and... More

The food is amazing. The wine, food and staff is the best. The rooms are good standard and a pool is available for hot days. A cute town nearby and lots of small towns close to it. I loved it. The atmosphere, everything! If you want a real Italian experience, with lots of organic food, happy people and an amazing... More
