I absolutely loved this hotel. It was beautiful from the inside and out. I felt like I was transported back in time to the glamorous days of the 1900's. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with fresh bread, cheese, fruit, and eggs. Chianchano, the walled in town, is a 20 minute walk but worth it for the view. I definetely want... More

If you are looking for the ultimate Tuscan countryside experience, then this is the perfect hotel at Chiancano Terme. Situated in a small little town, the property is luxurious and quaint. A small bus stop near the hotel can take you to nearby places such as Montepulciano and Pienza. The breakfast is amazing at the hotel. If you can get a... More

This is truly a Grand hotel! Perched above the quiet town of Chianciano Terme it looks out over the glorious Tuscan landscape. The hotel has an older section and a more modern one. Both parts are beautifully furnished with period pieces and antique collectibles. The effect transports one to a time when civility and hospitality was the norm in travel.... More

Having returned recently from Chianciano, it is with a little sadness I write this review. The Hotel, a bit like the others around it, felt under used and under loved. The Town itself was fairly quiet, and I felt it lacked that 'something special' to bring the tourists and visitors in. With 150 Hotels in such a small area, there... More

We chose this hotel based on an Internet comparison. We were expecting similar conditions, but upon arrival we got much less favourable conditions. That was disappointing. The rooms were ok, but outdated like the rest of the hotel. The guests were mostly pensioners. Overall, the hotel is past its glory days...

The hotel staff is really gentle and friendly. Roooms are nice and clean. The location is perfect since you can easily reach different famous places. There is a PC near the hall and you can also have WIFI paying 5euros.

Stayed here in October 2012. A splendid hotel, rooms were wonderful, food adequate. Had a wonderful week and would return, staff very helpful and friendly. The pool area and views from the roof are spectacular, especially early in the day.

Stayed here for 7 nights half-board on a walking trip in Tuscany. Rooms were fine with large comfy bed and good ensuite but no tea / coffee facility in the room. Breakfast was buffet style and plenty of food to load up for a days trekking. The hotel also provided us with very decent pack lunches on our walking days.... More

7 day booking half board & 3 tours with The Travel Company from 20/09/2010 to 27/09/2010. We checked out this hotel on the internet - it looked beautiful. However, upon checking into our room 214 on 20/09/2010 we were very disappointed. Whilst the room was spacious, the decor was very much in need of refurbishment. The wallpaper was faded, some...
