We stayed at the Podere Patrignone on the recommendation of our travel agent. We stayed for one week at the end of our trip to Italy. It's location in the countryside was welcomed as well as its proximity to Florence and other towns and cities. Verity and Simone were terrific hosts and proved to be helpful in giving tips about... Our group of long-time friends (4 couples) spent a wonderful week here at the end of September. Just lovely! The setting is so picturesque, the photos cannot possibly do it justice. The lovely old vine-covered buildings are surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. Each evening was celebrated on the large stone patio, where each sunset was prettier than the next.... More

We were a large group and Podere Patrignone took care of us quite well last October. The large kitchen area allowed us to have breakfast and snacks when desired. We went to a nearby village for breakfast supplies, wine, cheese, fruit etc. The views of the Tuscan countryside from our rooms were lovely. The weather was perfect. Some of our... More

We recently stayed at Podere Patrignone in the Chianti region of Tuscany. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Simon and Verity could not be better hosts. They were incredibly warm and welcoming. When we arrived there was a loaf of freshly made bread on the table alongside a basket of fruit and a bottle of... More

This was the place we were looking forward to the most out of our 4 week Europe trip and we were not disappointed. It was a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the big cities and enjoyed the rustic charm of Podere Patrigone. We stayed for 7 nights in September which is the perfect amount of time to... What a wonderful time we had staying at Podere Patrignone. Simon and Verity were fabulous hosts and made us feel at home from the minute we arrived. We had rented a self contained villa which was quaint and rustic. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and tidy. We found it very easy to find with Simon's good... More

We stayed at Podere Patrignone for 5 days in September. It was wonderful to stay in a self contained apartment after 4 weeks of hotels in France. The farmhouse is charming, the apartments are unique and quaint, the countryside was picture perfect and the weather was unseasonably warm. Simon and Verity were such hospitable hosts, yet give the guests their... More

Thanks for a wonderful stay - we loved the place. A little off the beaten track but that's half the charm, and the location is great to take advantage of the wonders of the Chianti region! Our room was at the front of the house with plenty of rustic charm. It was lovely and peaceful, particularly liked the bedding, top... More

I'd like to thank OldBeardywonder for the lovely review and clear up a valid point raised. I'm sorry OldBeardywonder got caught up in a wedding celebration here. It won't happen again. The wedding party were family of friends of ours and when they couldn't fill the entire place I reluctantly agreed to release the free space to other guests. It... More

We stayed at Podere Patrignone for a week in September: five couples who met at university over twenty years ago, so very many happy memories to relive. Cannot think of better surroundings- wonderful views of the rolling Tuscan hills, peaceful location yet easy to visit beautiful places such as Siena and Florence. Simon and Verity have done a wonderful job... More

My wife and I relaxed for a week at Simon and Verity Zimbler's beautiful agriturismo near Castellina in Chianti. Our room was large and beautifully furnished with antiques. Every evening we watched the sunset (and later the moon and stars) on the spacious terrace with other guests, with Carla, the restorer of Patrignone (and Simon's mother), and with Pam, Patrignone's...
