The atmosphere upon arrival set the scene for our 11 night stay at Podere Patrignone. It was just going on dusk, a few guests were enjoying wine & cheese on the terrace watching the gorgeous red Tuscan sun set over the hills beyond the olive grove. Dogs Lola and Charlie lay at their feet in good company. Welcomed to our... more

We booked at the last minute-as all our holidays tend to be. But we were not disappointed, we arrived and Simon met us straight away and took us to our rooms which were delightful, just how you would imagine a lovely Tuscan villa to look like, not one of those awful hotel rooms where you could be just about anywhere... more

What a beautiful relaxing time here, the charm of the place was refreshing, the history, Simon and Verity were so nice, we felt at home. This is a wonderful location that is central to much of Tuscany. I would have loved to spend more time here, and would have no trouble recommending to friends or coming back. more

We just returned (10/3/09) from a two week stay at Podere Patrignone and have nothing but beautiful memories. It was idyllic, the best location for visiting Siena, San Gimignano. Volterra, Florence and all the smaller but equally delightful little towns of the Chianti region. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, we felt totally at home with Verity, Simon, Kim, Harvey, Sam,... more

Words really can't begin to describe how pleased my husband and I were with Podere Patrignone. When we first arrived and took a look around, we knew we chose the right place. We went the self-catering route and stayed in Il Forno. The room had a lot of charm and gorgeous views of the tuscan countryside from the windows. Afternoons... more

We arrived at Podere Patrignone after a long train ride from the Cinque Terra and drive from Florence. The road to Podere Patrignone was quite bumpy (no fault of Simon’s) but upon arrival the length, fatigue and any irritation of a long journey dissolved. Podere Patrignone was like a breath of fresh air with its unparalleled view of the Tuscan... more

My husband and I recently spent two nights at Podere Patriagnone. After reading all the positive reviews on Trip Advisor, we were so excited to meet the owners and spend some time there. But we were disappointed – to say the least! I’m really struggling to see what the hype is all about! I have to admit that the views... more

As we have had a couple of under-par reviews recently, I think I should try and clarify a couple of points. Firstly, let me apologise to the two couples. Both were staying B&B (something we don’t do much of as our main business is renting the Villa and the apartments on a self-catering basis). We know it is not possible...

My daughter and I snuck in a wonderful 7 days at Podere Patrignone before she was due back at school earlier this month. We had such great times, whether exploring the old local cities (particularly recommend Sienna) or relaxing in the tranquil and exceptionally beautiful buildings and their surroundings. We had everything we needed and then some (great fellow guests... more

Recently spent a few nights at this agriturismo and was a bit disappointed especially after all the positive reviews and the website. First the positive, the family running the place is very friendly and helpful. The location is very good for exploring the Chianti region and the setting is absolutely gorgeous. Negatives...well I wouldn't say I have negative comments just... more

We stayed at Podere Patrignone last summer and loved it so much that we returned this year with a group of family and friends to celebrate 10 years together. Our group of 16 adults and 6 children and babies took over the villa and Caminetto - 9 rooms in total. The flexibility of the accommodation allowed our family to stay... more
