Eight adult family members stayed in the lovely and spacious Casa Pineta property on Ulrike's farm for two delightful weeks (August 2014). Amenities include a well-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, four full bathrooms, private patios and stunning views. We loved staying here for so many reasons. Do not pass up the opportunity to attend one of Ulrike's "welcome" dinners--a multi-course... More

Our family really enjoyed our time in Poderi Val Verde. The farm was lovely and there were easily accessible walking trails through the beautiful scenery. Ulrike was very helpful in suggesting activities for the area, such as towns to visit and winery tours. We enjoyed our stay in the rustic old farmhouse and would love to go back in the... More

What a perfect place to stay in Chianti. Comfortable and roomy living space inside and out; the quaint and rustic buildings, private courtyard, refreshing pool, great neighbors (other guests) and of course Ulrike all combine to make this a memorable stay. What sets this destination apart is the personal attention Ulrike brings. Cooking class, Tuscan style breakfast, fresh from the... More

Loved staying in the quiet surroundings of this beautiful Tuscan farmhouse. Ulrike was a complete sweetheart and made us feel very welcome but was also very discreet and gave us complete privacy. Her darling pets are all so friendly and well behaved - I carried her cat around happily for at least 20 minutes! It made the place feel very... More

There are a number of properties to rent and we chose to rent Casa Pineta as we were a large family group. Casa Pineta has four bedrooms and four bathrooms and was ideal for us. There was a large outdoor area with table and seating with wonderful views. We chose to eat lunch out a couple of times, the rest... More

thank you for your kind words on my property - you have been lovely, very considerate guests and treated my place with care. sorry to hear only now that you had some problems with the space between stove and working area - you could have easily resolved that problem by simply moving the working area to where-ever you needed it... We stayed at Poderi Val Verde 8 years ago with 14 other friends. It was a very pleasant experience but I think we all left with the feeling that we were "nickeled and dimed" for a lot of little things. This year we decided to go back again with a group of 8 because the site is so lovely and... More

actually i am glad that the discussion about cash payments (in a time period of credit card payments only) came up so i can state facts: i always request payments for extras (at least 50%) prior to arrival, in order to avoid this cash flow handling thing. but sometimes guests refuse this, simply forget to do this or decide on... My wife and I took a cooking class with Ulrike. What a blast we had. She helped us prepare a 4-course meal and it was delicious. Her sense of humour is awesome. She provided great tips along the way that I will continue to use. She also gave us the recipes which we will try again once we're back home.... More

We stayed here for a week and we loved it. Ulrike is amazing. Our apartment was exactly what we expected and wanted, and she knows everything about the area! The farm is rustic and beautiful, and we loved hearing the animals. An amazing place run by a truly beautiful human being. We will never forget this place and can't see... More

We stayed for a week in the La Tana apartment as part of a three month European family holiday with our nine year old daughter. The apartment was rustic but well equipped. We had some very cold weather during our stay. While heating was available, the owner Ulrike, advised it would be an expensive. Our stay would have been more... More

My family and I stayed at Ponderi Val Verde for a week this June as part of a larger trip to Italy. There were five of us (me, the wife and three children 18, 13 & 4) and we stayed in the large house (the name escapes me). To start the property is located about half way between Florence and...
