OK folks remember this is a farming locality so there are mosquitos and the windows don't have screens but it is easy to buy a mosquito spray in the village shop and keep the windows closed. The bed in our Romantica room was very comfy and the owner kindly provided us with extra pillows. The AirCon broke whilst we were... More

A lovely peaceful place in a wonderful setting with the garden laid out in terraces with places to sit and relax full of olive trees, nerías, lavenders and roses besides a small pool (4x10 m- only drawback) and with a marvelous view over the landscape. Everything is done with love and care: fine breakfast- good homemade food with herbs and... More

We stayed here for 5 days when exploring the Chianti region. The room was spacious and clean. Ground floor and facing north so ideal when it's hot. Breakfast was served outside and very good. Nice swimming pool. The differentiating part in this place are the numerous private corners where you can sit and relax. So you can create your private... More

Stayed here 2 nights in Sept-the place was beautiful however, the room we had was on the ground floor and other guests and staff were able to walk past the windows and door, as there was gravel outside this was aggravating and we felt uncomfortable. The boiler for the kitchen fired up regularly from 7 30am for breakfast which spoiled... More

The Podere Palazzolo is more like visiting a private house than an hotel. We were apparently upgraded to our spacious and extensive first floor room with stunning views. The room itself was very comfortable and everything worked well. We had a restful night. Laura the owner and her assistant Sarah (?) were helpful and charming. We were asked in advance... More

Laura and her staff have found paradise!.... We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay in this idyllic spot with lovely views over Chianti. Our room was more than adequate with queen bed, couch, wardrobe, drawers, bedside cabinets and lamps, minibar/fridge and well appointed en-suite. The walk up the hill into town is a little energetic but if you have a... More

We stayed at Podere Palazzolo for five days in June. The villa is quite beautiful and the location and view are wonderful. It was exactly what a Tuscan villa should be like. We also liked that it was quiet and remote, perfect for a relaxed holiday. The personnel was friendly and we received a good feedback from them. We did... More

This was a really great place to stay! We had the room no.2 which was a really simple one but it was perfectly clean, nice and with a Tuscan spirit. The view from Podere Palazzolo is breathtaking!!!! There is a nice garden overlooking the beautifull hills and vineyayards of Tuscany. There is a beautifull view of Castellina in Chianti as... More

We stayed at Podere Palazzolo for our wedding anniversary. The B&B is just outside of Castellina which is easily accessible on foot (albeit up a big hill). We really liked the B&B, it is simple accommodation but a lovely house set in a beautiful landscaped garden with lots of spots for sunbathing and reading. The only problem is everything is... More

We took a risk and booked this given the mixed reviews. It's considerably cheaper than a lot of the accommodation locally (€89/night) but I think that's reflected in the facilities. We found our room to be very hot, no air conditioning or fan, small window, no mosquito netting over the window or bed (although apparently this year has been particularly... More
