Castellina is a fantastic location, peaceful but not boring and the hotel is right in the centre! In 5 minutes you can reach everything! The hotel is a real palace, the spa is fantastic, the price very normal for what you get, Monica(owner)is very helpful and kind and Antonella in the breakfast makes you feel like home!!! We spent two nights in this hotel while touring Chianti by bicycle. The location in Castellina cannot be beat, right in the center of town, but don't worry the rooms are very quiet. Comfortably furnished in traditional style there is an elevator as well as stairs. We had an unusual experience one morning when the water stopped working and initially... More

This was our second stay at this lovely hotel in the lovely village of Castellina de Chianti. This is a small hotel with a wonderful staff. Within minutes of arriving you will feel like you are visiting old friends. The rooms are spacious and very clean and there is a library (lounge) that is perfect for relaxing with friends and... We moved to this hotel after bailing out of a rural B&B that we really didn't get on with. We loved the great staff and spacious feel of this palazzo hotel. It made us happy after a stressful start to our week in Tuscany. We were staying here with our toddler and found the bilingual staff super with him; really... More

We have just spent five nights at this hotel during our touring holiday in Tuscany. What a fabulous homely place to stay. We had a room overlooking the street and it was lovely very Tuscan style. I did wonder about noise but it was not a problem at all. The bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely. The... More

We arrived in the dark and easily found temporary parking as Squarcialupi is on a road with restricted vehicle access after a certain hour (3:00 pm I believe). The exterior is all about old world Tuscany that leaves you wondering what to expect on the inside. Those thoughts were put to rest when we walked through the front doors. Erica... More

We stayed here 4 nights recently for the second time. Big room, nice bathroom, great breakfast, friendly staff and reasonbly-priced. The bed is very comfortable, better than many Italian hotels. Spa is very clean. It is better to stay in the valley view room. This time, we were in street side. I was awaken up one midnight by the noise... More

We have been there just for 8 days a full family and took five rooms. The hotel is extremely friendly and gives you a feeling of a second home. Staff is efficent and speaks fluent English and more. Rooms are large and cozy and fully equipped. Best rooms are with a valley view . There is a Spa in the... More

I loved this hotel and this cute little Tuscan town. I stayed in Italy three weeks and this was my favorite hotel. Palazzo Squarcialupi is beautiful and well maintained with a beautiful terrace in back. I had room 207 which was large and very comfortable. There was an actual shower door on the shower which I had been missing in... More

We stayed at Palazzo Squarcialupi a few weeks ago and it was our second time in 3 years. Great Hotel, Great and friendly staff, Great Breakfast, Great Location. 1 negative thing and it was clear as we continued on our travels through Italy and Europe. The rooms are great and spacious but the beds are terrible. For a hotel that... More

Dear Sirs, First of all we I thank you for your very positive comments on Palazzo Squarcialupi Concerning the beds , it seems strange to me as we have recently changed our mattresses and all our Clients are happy because I have replaiced the old ones with comfort memory-foam mattress, wich are also adapted for back broblems. Kind regards. Monica More
