We stayed in the family apartment which consists of two bedrooms with one large bathroom. The building was built in the Middle Ages, so expect tile floors, stone walls, old rugs on the floors, and a tub with handheld shower. That being said, it was wonderful. Just don't expect modern! Our farmhouse had a common living room and kitchen so... More

We had a wonderful stay at Castello di Fonterutoli, the staff were very accommodating and helpful! We stayed in the Loggia room which we loved as it had a balcony which was perfect for watching the sunset with a bottle of wine. The room itself was spacious with a large bed and modern bathroom. Everything was very clean. We had... More

We stayed overnight in a Deluxe Room which was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our room was spacious and we had a private balcony where we enjoyed the beautiful views over the valley, vineyard and garden with a glass of wine in the late afternoon sun. We slept well in the comfortable bed and quiet location. Our room... More

The whole experience was amazing, we stayed there for one night only but I want to go back with my wife and other couples. The rooms are made to share, you normally have three rooms with a big kitchen, dinner and living room, all of them very big. The only thing is that the beds and bathrooms are quite old... More

Outstanding and stunning. Such an atmospheric setting and outset to explore the nature, wine, gastronomy and culture of the region. Really a place one would prefer to keep as a secret, but here it goes - my utterly best recommendations for any one with good taste and a an urge to relax in the most stunning spot between Siena and... We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and it was the perfect location. If you are going to experience Tuscany and immerse yourself in the culture, food and wine then this is the perfect place to stay. Located in the heart of Tuscany and the Chianti region it is a slice of paradise. Not only is it a room in an... More

My husband and I booked one night here with their "Stay and Dine" package - one night in a superior room, a 4-course tasting wine dinner, and the winery tour, for 256 euro. We loved it so much, we booked another night. The village is amazing, and most staff, we learned, live on the property. The views and sights are... More

We spent 10 days in the Roseto appartment and loved it. We had the privelege of the private pool, which is reserved for the 3 suites. We were 6 adults and 2 kids and stayed comfortably in the spacious rooms. The staff was very welcoming, and we had the opportunity to get a tour of the both the old and... More

We stayed he for one night in may 2013. We just selected due to wine we love and decided to look at place where is made It is very small Locanda, not even town juts in hear of chianti region. Oned by Mazzei's family, Fonterutoli is one of 3 wine yards they owned. Rooms are based in real old building,... More

We travelled as a group and stayed in this charming village where nothing has been spoiled, and it retains its autenticity from a past time. The winery is amazing and you can tell that it has been in the hands of the same family, teh Mazzei family, for several centuries. The rooms, even if simple, are extremely comfortable and have...
