Just over a week ago, we were checking out of this wonderful hidden gem in the beautiful area of Castellina in Chianti and really did not want to leave the peaceful place. The location feels as though you are nestled away from the rush of any city traffic but due to this it would be difficult to get around Tuscany... More

Thank you once again for a wonderful week. The kids returned home with a lot of exiting memories (and a few mosquitoe bites!). Simone and Natalia, you are doing a great job, thanks for keeping everything perfect and for your kind hospitality! We hope to be back next year

Simone and his wife Natalie made our stay very enjoyable. There was a bit of a language problem as they speak little English; but we got by with hand signs and a bit of laughter. We stayed in the little Il Nido apartment which was quite cosy. It has a separate kitchen and bathroom, although the shower is typically tiny... More

Stayed a week in October with a friend. Can't say enough good about Svetlina, who was very accommodating in booking around our schedule in the months before we arrived, and Simone and Natalia who managed the property and helped us with anything we needed. Simone gave us a bottle of their red wine, and even added a bottle of white... More

The good: The location is a good base for day trips around Tuscany, as most places are within an easy drive, less than or around an hour; Florence, Sienna, Volterra, San Gimignano, Castellina, Pisa, Lucca, etc. The old stone villa is very rustic, the rooms are clean, the pool is beautiful, the views ( from every room ) of the... If you want to be in the heart of Tuscany... And want to be close to a small town for convenience but far enough away to feel like you are really in the middle of old Italy.. Then this is the place for you. It is 5 km from Castelinna and perfectly located in a short distance of say 30... More

I came in June of 2012 for my Birthday with 3 of my best friends. We felt like family there. Oscar the cat was great. Simone was amazing even if we couldn't speak Italian we still understood one another. The location was great. The pool was great. I will be coming back in October with my Mom and her boyfriend.... Rocca di Cispiano is a medieval villa situated on a hillside overlooking a gorgeous valley that is otherwise hidden from view to travelers traveling through Chianti on the unmissable SS429. The agriturismo is accessed via a precipitous dirt/gravel path that takes you away from the traces of civilization around Castellina in Chianti. Hosts were gracious and helpful (free bottle of... We enjoyed a week at Rocca di Cispiano. We are a family of 4 (children 7 and 9) and they spent their time swimming in the lovely, clean pool, petting the cats and finding interesting insects. It was peaceful and beautiful with rows and rows of grape vines, happy olive trees and a wonderful view. The location was perfect, short... More
