Hotel fairly good location if wanting to visit Pompeii, naples and sorrento. Sadly not a massive amount at castlemmare - couple restaurants which nothing special. Would recommend the ice cream shop tho. We went to sorrento for our evening meals twenty minutes away on train . To get to hotel from airport take the Alibus (€4) to Central station and... More

Perhaps it's our fault, but when we booked this hotel, it was under the search of Sorrento. Lo and behold, that's not where we ended up. I only stayed here one night and I will say the hotel certainly looked nice with it's view of the mountains, rooftop terrace and pool. However, it is about a 20 minute walk to... More

I was a bit apprehensive at first because of some of the reviews! We stayed for 11 nights in August 2014 on the top floor "gorgeous room" beautiful top terrace & hotel. Anna the owner was lovely and so were the staff. Breakfast was also very nice with a large selection of fresh food. We hired a car from Naples... More

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, as soon as we arrived in our room i found a a nice big bunch of hair in the bathroom, the cleaners only just left our room. The hotel. Ight have been a 4* 20years ago but not anymore, very dated decor. The first morning we went for breakfast all the tables... More

The main area is nice enough. The saving grace of this hotel is the lovely pool and the rooftop terrace overlooking the Bay of Naples. Arrived to a room where the doors and windows were open and had no screens. There were little flies everywhere, especially the bathroom. No wifi in the rooms, just in the lobby. Dinner was ok,... Stayed for 10 days in May. Hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. Staff were very lovely and helpful. Food was also of a good standard. Overall a good hotel but bit boring and perhaps much better designed for short stays. Wifi good and working. Views from hotel rooftop are amazing. Hotel pool is ok but old (looks better in hotel... Hotel is on hill top, to get there you need to walk through a tunnel and then the lifts. To get to your rooms, you need to take another lift which is very slow. Room given was huge with 4 beds for 3 of us. Room is however dated and aircon doesn't work very well. On and off on its... More

Stayed here as part of our European Cavalcade Tour for 1 night. Room was spacious and comfortable. The balcony and large bathroom with window allowed fresh air in. Free WiFi available in lobby with good connection. Included dinner was good, as was buffet breakfast. No tea or coffee making facilities but small fridge in room. Not much around the hotel. Roof... This is a hotel near Naples and the Amalfi Coast. The rooms are large, but amenities are few. You take an elevator up from the road level or you can walk up a steep driveway. This hotel is used by many tour groups so it is crowded. It has a pool and a rooftop garden (which wasn't getting much use).... More

Stayed 4 nights as a last minute trip to visit Sorrento and the Amalfi coast area. Hotel is 20km from Sorrento in Castellamare Di Stabia which is frankly rough, not at all a tourist town. The hotel is a .5km up the hill from the town centre. The cheap reliable Circumvesuviana train saved the day for visits to Sorrento, Pompeii,... More
