We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary (in the days when you got married in March in order to get the tax back!) and we were definitely "out of season". This hotel, although a little out of the way, was excellent in all respects. Even in March the standards in the restaurant were amazing - definitely a gourmet experience. The... More

We have just had a 3 night stay at this most beautiful hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and although we initially thought that the hotel was sited a bit out of the way, the easy access to the train train station and visits to the great local historical sites, more intimate than Pompeii were amazing. We appreciate... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Medussa. As soon as you arrive through the gates you appreciate the beautiful grounds of the hotel, very helpful staff and excellent food. It really is an oasis close to Pompeii and Herculaneum ( easily reached by local train & the hotel run a shuttle to the station) Will definitely be back. Thanks to... More

We arrived en route from the north of Italy to the Sicily ferry and spent two nights here. You approach the hotel through some of the more industrial suburbs of Naples, but as soon as you turn into the grounds of the hotel it is difficult not to be charmed by the warmth of the greeting, the architecture and the... One of the nicest hotels I have been in in my 62 years. Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful building and surroundings, excellent food, great location if you want to visit the antiquities at Pompeii and Herculaneum, but with treasures on its very doorstep in the Roman villas Arianna and San Marco. We will go back.

On arriving to the gates to the Medusa Hotel, you are greeted by a long tree lined drive leading up to a beautiful boutique villa style hotel. The staff are so accommodating and extremely helpful - each one of them! Maria, in the breakfast orangery, is the perfect wake up with her friendliness - you feel as if you are... More

We have just returned from a week away in this fabulous hotel. After the white knuckle ride that is the self-drive from the airport, La Medusa is an oasis of calm and beauty which strikes you the moment you drive through the gates and down the immaculate drive to the lovely building itself. The staff are fantastic and all speak... More

This is an unpretentious wonderful hotel. It's not overly grand - jeans are ok in the dining room - despite looking a million dollars. The tiled floors throughout and wonderful grounds and terrace and indoor terrace restaurant impressed us without being flashy or making you feel you're in a museum. Standard rooms are not particularly large, but there are so... More
