This summer, my partner and I ventured to Castellamare Di Stabia, Italy for a last minute week in the sun before returning to the mania of university life. Hotel Stabia is located in the centre of the bay and with a rooftop terrace the views are stunning and we spent many an evening sitting up there with a drink or... More

Hotel Stabia was not the best place we ever stayed at. It is an older place right in town. It is right on the beach with a nice walk and great view. Not totally up to American standards but that is why we travel to get to see other sides of life.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with our Trafalgar tour. The rooms are very dated but it was nice. The furniture was older but comfortable. The TV did not work but the wifi was good. We had included breakfast and dinner. Dinner was always very good and flavourful. Breakfast was alright - cereal and pastries.... More

The breakfast room on the top floor was fantastic with great views of Mount Vesuvius and the bay great sunsets in the evening. All the reception staff are very helpful and will help you get around the area. The bed... More

Stayed here as part as a Trafalgar tour, rooms very dated, small hard single beds, room was large by European standards, bathroom small, in its day I'm sure it was excellent, bit of a labyrinth, lifts very slow, take the stairs, nice terrace bar, the mature gentleman on the front desk was extremely helpful, lovely, breakfast basic. 10 minutes from... We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel on our tour of Italy with Trafalgar Tours, The hotel is situated in a very run down area with rubbish dumped everywhere, If we had been on our own and not on an escorted trip we would have turned around and found another hotel in a different location. The hotel and rooms... More

I stayed in the last week of Aug as a solo traveller and was very pleased with the standard of the hotel and the location. The food in the resteraunt is excellent and I slept well each night in the comfortable bed. If you enjoy being close to the beach front then this hotel is ideally situated to take advantage... More

So where to start. After reading so many negative reviews about the hotel and resort, we (my brother and I) were a little nervous about the place. Before we stayed I emailed the hotel asking to check that we had a twin room and sea view, and they were really quick to respond. When we arrived they knew who we... More

I was looking for an inexpensive option for a few weeks in this area. What I found completely surpassed my expectations! The Stabia is a grand hotel, worth exploring for it's hidden lounges, restaurant and the amazing breakfast area. Absolute waterfront location, with exceptional views of Vesuvius makes breakfast and cappuccino each day rather special. I have to qualify the... More
