I was looking for an inexpensive option for a few weeks in this area. What I found completely surpassed my expectations! The Stabia is a grand hotel, worth exploring for it's hidden lounges, restaurant and the amazing breakfast area. Absolute waterfront location, with exceptional views of Vesuvius makes breakfast and cappuccino each day rather special. I have to qualify the... More

This hotel is better than many of the reviews posted on this site The rooms were clean and the AC worked sufficiently in the hot August weather. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was not only well stocked but it was served on the rooftop providing great views of the coast. Granted Castellamarre Di Stabia is not Sorento... More

We have just returned from a 5 day break at this hotel. Whilst the town is a little run down, the hotel is absolutely charming. The rooms are a good size with wonderful views across the Bay of Naples and of Vesuvius. The staff could not be more helpful - they provided excellent tips on restaurants, visiting local sites of... My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights 6-10 May with a small group tour (10 travellers). The accommodation is basically student accommodation with twins beds in small rooms with a very very small shower. We were all lucky to be allocated rooms on the 3rd floor with views over the Bay of Naples and Mt Vesuvius. The area... More

Visiting the bay of Naples this is a good hotel as it is close to lots of attractions; it has excellent reception personnel and a great team welcoming you and helping you with luggage and other items. They could serve a richer breakfast being a 4* hotel. The view from the 7th floor is great and the Vesuvius is 'in... More

We stayed at hotel Stabia as part of Trafalgar Splenders of Italy the hotel was a lovely well cared for and the interior had a period theme throughout. The room we had was a little small and we had to stack the suit cases as there was no room to store two cases. There was wifi free in the sitting... More

Stayed here as part of the Trafalgar Splendours of Italy Tour in August 2013. The hotel is old, but charming. I had a courtyard facing room, which was quieter than the street facing rooms. The room reminded me of an old Convent boarding room. The bed was comfortable and the food and service were good. Our tour group had a... More

While this hotel was old, it had heaps of character, the view was great, overlooking the side street & part of the foreshore. The restaurant was quaint, with good food & good service. The views from the balcony of the bay was spectacular, while the beach was dark grey & dirty looking, looked more like volcanic ash than sand, but... More

Stayed here 2 nights as part of our "Splendors of Italy" tour with Trafalgar. Lobby area was quite beautiful & inviting........old world charm. Our room was on the 'street' side, so kinda noisey when the bars closed. The beds were comfy, the room was clean & the bathroom was good. The view from the Rooftop Bar/Lounge was spectacular, especially as... More
