Quiet rooms, ample parking, naturally-lit breakfast room. Friendly, but professional staff gave us a vase to use for our fresh flowers that we were given by family. Sophisticated....but relaxed. We look forward to future stays there!

I stayed at the Candiani for two nights. The hotel is in a lovely position, not far out of town, set round a courtyard. The bedrooms are large and spacious with everything you expect from a four star hotel. My bathroom was also well equipped. If I had to criticise it would be that the lighting in the bedroom could... We spent a week here with a group from U.S. We used Casale as a base to travel throughout Piedmont. Everyone from the manager to the breakfast staff were wonderful. Casale is a small town but located amongst smaller towns of this wonderful food and wine area. Our room was comfortable and very spacious.

We spent more than a week at the Candiani as part of a food and wine tour of Piemonte. Casale is a small city nestled on the banks of the Po, and this was a perfect location for taking day trips so we saved the inconvenience of packing and moving every day. More than that, though, the rooms were spacious... More

1913: more than 100 years ago, a slaughterhouse was built in Casale Monferrato, it was the the biggest one in the Province of Alessandria. It consisted of several buildings: one for administrative purposes, one was used as a stall for animals and another one was the real slaughter area. Fortunately, in year 2000, the activity was definetively converted from the... More

We had a conference in this hotel. It has a wonderful tranquil cloister like central space. It's sad when you hear that it used to be an abbatoir. It is always interesting to stay in historic buiilding that have been re-purposed and I liked this hotel even though the rooms were a little neglected. They a spacious and pleasant but... More

On business had a few nights stay here. On premise restaurant was very good fare, although pricey. Still a delicious meal and no need to walk elsewhere. But if you do want to walk a bit (in Europe-why not!?) this hotel is so close to the city center you will find many a culinary treasure nearby. Also the historic castle... More

I stayed there for business , visiting the factory of the corporation i work for. Clean , quite rooms , spacious , friendly stuff. Breakfast can be a bit more enriched but it is not bad.I think that it is a "value for money" location.

We found this hotel quite by chance as we were travelling through Casale Montferrato enroute to Cinque Terre. The welcoming reception was very nice and friendly and we stayed just 1 night . Importantly the rooms were clean and quiet , had a bath and the Tv worked fine and the rooms were really quite big ( with a big... More

We stayed here for 1 night as part of a cycling tour. The hotel is a short walk from the old part of town. Rooms are very spacious, nicely appointed and overlook a grassed courtyard. It was hot when we stayed there and the AC struggled a bit. Staff were ok - experienced better and worse. Breakfast spread was ok... More
