I have never seen a more disgusting hotel. We had the unfortunate experience of staying here for three nights. We were with a tour with my daughter's soccer team and were promised 4-star hotels. I realize that 4 stars in the US is very different from 4 starts in Europe, so I wasn't expecting large rooms or even the same... More

The hotel is well located in Calenzano , about 400 m from train station and there is a bus stop 50 m from the hotel .There is a shopping center and a Carrefour supermarket nearby at 300 m. Bus no. 2 goes to Santa Maria Novela train station in Florence . The room was small , with basic and old... More

The hotel is ok to stay for a short time, they were cleaning the room every day, but still there was a lot of dust in the room, we had ants and other insects in our room, bathroom and even on the breakfast table. The breakfast is really horrible, every day the same, dry cakes from the store and the... More

We`ve just spent 3 nights at this Hotel which,we understood to be only a couple of kilometers from Florence city centre.Sadly, thats not the case-more like 15-20.A one hour bus ride to Florence, although the Bus is only 1.2euros.A Taxi is 40 euros-bad news if you want to go into town quickly. The Hotel itself has no facilities(except continental breakfast). The Hotel is sited... We stayed at this hotel for 1 night on July 16th 2013. We checked in early at 11 am because one of the 4 members of our family did not feel well. We had problem finding the place as there is no option for the address in our Gps. I had to ask at 4 different places by the time... More

Very very bad hotel. It is noisy, bad located, the rooms have no maintenance whatsoever, with damaged furniture and half-destructed roof, noisy and stinky ventilators and the bathrooms are filthy. You can hear the other guests using and flushing the toilet. That is disgusting. We had booked two nights but left after the first one (because we could not leave... More

We booked this hotel for a weekend break as a package deal. The hotel is about 30 min drive or train away from Florence, but it did not effect our experience of Tuscany. We had a very good experience at the hotel no issues, in fact we laughed at some of the quirks of the establishment. There are several good... More

My friend and I have just returned from a short break in Florence and a stay at the Albatros. I was quite worried about going there after reading some of the reviews.I have to say we found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The room was basic but we only wanted a hotel to be a base as... More

On our honeymoon we travelled from Australia to Europe in 1991. We stayed at the Albatros because it was the first hotel we came across as we entered the crazy Florentine traffic straight from the autostada. The manager was rude, refused to exchange currency, argued with a maintanence worker who stormed outside and turned off the water pump that was... More
